ViscositéIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Functional fillers - An opaque hollow sphere polymer has been synthesised for use in architectural solventborne alkyd paints. It can help to cut costs by allowing TiO2 usage to be reduced while maintaining opacity. As the polymer is supplied as dispersion in water it reduces VOC levels, and it can also replace existing opaque polymers in waterborne paints. Note de contenu : Reversing the trend : from waterborne to solventborne / Scattering provides best measure of opacity benefits / Basic reformulation procedure summarised / Equilibrated and aged viscosity remain within control / Viscosity must be checked when reformulating / VOC levels are significantly reduced / Tuning the final formulation / New OP is also a 'drop-in replacement' in waterbornes. In some cases it is between making an enquiry and receiving the goods, including a product development element such as a new shade. These activities impact on both the costs and the inventory levels that the business has to support as well as on competitiveness. Note de contenu : - Getting the best out of existing product range
- Understanding the situation with flow charts
- Symptoms of cycle time delays
- Concept of dynamic cycle time
- Priority changes cause inefficiencies
- Elimination of typical problems is the first taks
- Inventory replenishment
- Inventory policy
- Transferring production between factories
- Symptoms which indicate the need for a cycle time reduction project
