PP : Basell mise sur son procédé Spherizone / Jacqueline Fauvarque in CAOUTCHOUCS & PLASTIQUES, N° 809 (12/2002)
[article]
les polyoléfines thermoplastiques semi-cristallines : polyéthylène (PE), polypropylène (PP), polyméthylpentène (PMP), polybutène-1 (PB-1) ;

The structure and property of latex polymers were characterized by laser particle size analyzer, attenuated total reflectance spectra of infrared, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and thermogravimetric analysis. The effects of polymerization conditions on the conversion and polymerization stability were discussed in detail and the optimal polymerization condition was obtained. XPS analysis indicates that the perfluoroalkyl groups have the tendency to enrich at the film–air interface. With the increasing of PFEA amount, the water absorption of the film decreases and the water contact angle of the film increases. At the same time, the thermal stability of the copolymer is greatly enhanced with the increasing of PFEA amount. TriazinedithiolIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : In this work, an organic nanofilm was directly prepared on the metal (sintered NdFeB permanent magnet) surface by electrochemical polymerizing of functional triazinedithiol compound 6-(n-allyl-1,1,2,2-tetrahydroperfluorodecyl) amino-1,3,5-triazine-2,4-dithiol monosodium. The polymeric nanofilm was characterized by spectroscopic ellipsometry, static water contact angle meter, and atomic force microscopy. The chemical progress of electrochemical polymerization was studied by cyclic voltammetry. The film formation mechanism was investigated via X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Fourier transform infrared reflection spectroscopy and the results showed that the thiol groups play an important role in polymerization of the film on the substrate. This research may provide a basis for fabricating a triazinedithiol film on metal surfaces and have a promising future for expanding the application of depositing polymer films on metals. The effect of synthesis conditions, such as surfactant and SiO2 content, on the application properties of nanocomposite were investigated in details. Nanocomposite, which used hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride as the surfactant, had the best application properties. The incorporation of SiO2 was favored for improvement of wet-heat resistance temperature of the leather, in contrast to the nanocomposite without SiO2. Nanocomposite facilitate the absorption of chrome. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) spectrum demonstrated that methacrylic acid was polymerized in the montmorillonite inter-lamellar and nano-SiO2 was completely copolymerized with methacrylic acid monomers. X-ray diffraction (XRD) results suggested that montmorillonite layers were exfoliated during the polymerization process.

Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A type of paraffin phase-change microcapsule for thermal insulation of exterior walls was prepared by in situ polymerization of low-softening-point paraffin (46°C) as core material and acrylic copolymer as shell. The surface morphology, phase-change thermal properties, and thermal stability were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, laser particle size distribution analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, and thermogravimetric analysis, respectively. The results showed that, for polymerization reaction temperature of 75°C and paraffin/acrylic copolymer mass ratio of 1.8, the microcapsules prepared at rotation speed of 1600 r/min with 8% emulsifiers were spherical particles with smooth surface and average particle size of 0.68 μm. The phase-change temperature and latent heat storage capacity of the microcapsules were 47.8°C and 174 J/g, respectively. The paraffin phase-change microcapsules obtained using the optimum synthesis condition were mixed in a metakaolin-based geopolymer coating at different proportions, and the thermal insulation ability of the resulting phase-change thermal energy storage coating characterized.
