Titre : HexTOOL™ : opening new possibilities in composites tooling Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Bruno Boursier, Auteur ; Rick Callis, Auteur ; John Porter, Auteur Année de publication : 2006 Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : 'Composites fibres carbone' Epoxy 'Pièces avion' 'Industrie aéronautique' 'Fabrication moules' Evaluation Lamination Durcissement Usinage Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The proportion of carbon-composite content in new airplaines is growing fast, especially in commercial transport aircraft. Parts are also becoming larger, and the tooling to produce such large parts in composite is a key factor in their cost and quality. In this paper, we discuss a novel type of composite material, and a new approach to mould fabrication that not only eliminates many of the drawbacks of conventional composite-tooling materials, but also competes favourably against metals tools. Note de contenu : - The need for new tooling material in civil transport applications
- Selecting a material solution
- HexMC : a unique material for composite tooling
- Developing a BMI tooling compound
- Small-tool fabrication trials and evaluation
- Larger tool fabrication : Lamination - Curing - MachiningPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=13948
