The effects of PTCMA concentrations on morphological, thermal and transport properties (water uptake, methanol permeability, ion exchange capacity and proton conductivity) were investigated. A morphological analysis revealed an homogenous dense microstructure for all the composites. Also, transport property tests revealed that the water uptake, methanol permeability and ion exchange capacity were enhanced by the addition of PTCMA whereas proton conductivity deteriorated. As shown by a thermogravimetric analysis, the difference between the thermal properties of the pure SPEEK and the composites was insignificant. Overall, the composites were observed to display a better global performance in terms of transport properties than pure SPEEK.

Surfaces (Physique)Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : This study employed solid hot stretching technology to produce successfully specifically oriented polylactic acid (PLA) while investigating the impact of orientation structure on its photo-oxidation aging properties. After orientation, the molecular weight and mechanical properties retention rate of PLA were improved, and the crystallinity (Xc) increased in conjunction with prolonged aging time, while the molecular orientation failed to modify the mechanism responsible for PLA deterioration. Furthermore, an examination regarding the way in which the photo-oxidation stability of PLA was enhanced, demonstrated that the increased Xc and structural orientation were beneficial for delaying the photo-oxidation aging of PLA.

Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A series of novel silicone-modified polyesters (SPE) were prepared by substituting part ofdiol with low molecular weight hydroxyl-terminated poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS). Then, isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) as hard segments and 1,4-butanediol as chain extender were added to SPE to prepare a silicone-modified polyurethane (SPU). The effects of the type of diol, diacid, and hydroxyl-terminated PDMS, and the amount of hydroxyl-terminated PDMS on the preparation and surface properties of SPU were investigated. It was found that the amount of PDMS incorporated into a polyester chain was relatively higher when 1,6-hexanediol (HDO) and 1,10-decandiol (DDO) were used as diol and the PDMS with lower molecular weight was used as organosilicone compound. Consequently, the SPU coats with HDO as diol, adipic acid (AA) as diacid, and short chain PDMS as silicone segment had the lowest surface-free energy since it had the highest and most homogeneous distribution of silicone segments at its top layer surfaces. The surface composition and morphology of the prepared cGO‐incorporated hollow fibre membranes were characterised by means of Fourier Transform–infrared spectra and scanning electron microscopy. The effects of different cGO contents on membrane surface hydrophilicity, separation performance, anti‐compaction and adsorption properties were investigated through measurements of the water contact angle, cross‐flow filtration and methylene blue (MB) adsorption experiments. The results demonstrated that the cGO‐incorporated membranes had more hydrophilic surfaces, higher permeation flux, better anti‐compaction properties and a higher adsorption rate of MB than that of the PSF control membrane. When cGO content was 0.45 wt.%, the pure water flux of the modified membrane increased from 90.56 to 148.26 l m−2 h−1 at 0.1 MPa; also, rejections of bovine serum albumin and polyethylene glycol (PEG‐20000) maintained relatively high values of 98.81 and 93.89%, respectively. The incorporation of cGO nanosheets could effectively improve membrane anti‐compaction properties and the adsorption rate of MB.
Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Dendritic–linear polyether-modified silica sol (DLPS) was synthesized using diethylenetriamine, methyl acrylate, epoxy-terminated polyether, triethoxysilane, and silica sol in five steps. The prepared sol was stable and transparent. DLPS was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and particle size distribution analysis. Subsequently, DLPS was examined as a stain-resistant additive in (paint) coatings. The surface of the sample coatings with and without DLPS additive was examined by scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive spectrometry analysis, and contact angle analysis. The results showed that the stain-resistant additive appeared on the surface of the coating, which made the surface more compact and hydrophilic. The performance of the stain-resistant additive was examined in commercial outdoor emulsion coatings (WB200). The result showed that the presence of the stain-resistant additive could enhance the stain resistance performance of paint. Furthermore, the stain resistance performance improved with increasing amounts of additive. Specifically, the stain resistance performance of paint improved by 40.63% in the presence of 6 wt% DLPS. Therefore, the current findings demonstrate the importance of DLPS in advancing progress and application in the paint coating industry.
