Stress oxydatifIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Wound healing factors, skin barrier integrity and resistance to inflammation are determining factors for healthy skin. Additionally, a clea, pro-aged skin that is free from irritation and acne is cosmetically attractive. Alpin Heilmoor Extract (AHE), a natural (organic) active ingredient extracted from Austrian healing Moor (Heilmoor) deposits at 500m above sea level, was investigated for its efficacy in maintaining and enhancing these key-parameters of healthy and beautiful skin. A series of in vitro tests involving HaCaT cells and reconstructed human epidermis (RHE) revealed that AHE improves wound healing, enhances membrane barrier integrity and supresses skin inflammation and prevent oxidative stress and ageing. An open, intra-individual in vivo efficacy study confirmed the multiple beneficial effects of AHE : a pronounced pro-ageint effect remarkable cleansing/anti-pollution efficacy, both, an immediate and a preventive soothing effect, and a convincing anti-acne efficiency. Furthemore, AHE demonstrably balanced the skin microbiome. Notably, AHE was generally very well tolerated and appreciated by study subjects. Note de contenu : - Enhanced skin barrier integrity
- Repression of pro-inflammatory cytokines
- AHE inhibits the production of NO, 8-isoprostanes and PGE2
- AHE inhibits the formation of ROS and suppresses the expression of RCAN1
- AHE counteracted the effects of AGEs by influencing the expression of AGE receptors RAGE and AGE-R1
- Induction of wound healing factors
- Advanced pro-ageing
- Enhanced cleansing efficacy

Vitamine CIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : This thesis selected ascorbic acid as a symbol component, utilized Franz diffusion tank facility and pig ear skin to simulate the transdermal absorption environment and conditions, and employed high performance liquid chromatography to determine the ascorbic acid content and to discover the effect of four different types of cosmetics systems (facial mask (A), lyophilized essence (B1), combination of lyophilized essence and facial mask (B2) and essence (C)) on its transdermal absorption. It was found that the total amount of transdermal absorption of ascorbic acid within 4 hours was B2 > A > B1 > C, in which B2 reached 0.413 µg.mm-2, and the transdermal absorptivity was B2 > A > B1 > C, in which B2 even reached 0.98%. The results showed that the mask could promote the transdermal absorption of ascorbic acid, especially when the lyophilized essence worked together with the mask, the performance and effect of transdermal absorption were more significant, which could provide good suggestions for application in the use of product. Extraits de plantes:Extraits (pharmacie)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Technology is an essential part of every industry, and the personal care secctor is no different. For consumers, this comes in the form of apps which allow the user to 'try on' virtual makeup looks or hair styles by using facial mapping technology as well as diagnostic tools, which give personalised skin care recommendations based on the condition of and changes in the user's skin. For raw materials suppliers, however, new technologies are valuable tools in identifying, extracting and studying new active materials. Note de contenu : - Enhancing traditional anti-ageing materials
- Advances in peptide and protein development
- Enhancing natural extracts
- Reducing technology for conservation

ProbiotiquesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Due to evolutionary flaws, we, as humans, are not equipped to age well. CLR has developed a cosmetic active ingredient harnessing decades of skin anti-ageing research by making use of postbiotics, i.e. lysates of probiotic bacteria for the benefit of the skin’s immune system. The ingredient represents the latest innovation of Bifida Ferment Lysate. Note de contenu : - Healthy ageing - learning from long-lived mammals

MalasseziaIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Malassezia furfur is a lipophilic and dermatological pathogenic yeast, which normally exists on human skin, and causes tinea versicolor, seborrhoeic dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis, especially on human scalp. The multi-herb extraction VGP which consists of Vitex trifolia fruit, Gentiana scabra, and Polygonum multiflorum root extract was used to study its effect of anti-inflammation, controlling sebum and dandruff on scalp care. Results showed that on the model of NHEK and THP1 cell inflammation induced by Malassezia furfur, VGP can inhibit the expression of interleukin 6 (IL-6), prostaglandin E2 (PGE-2), monocyte chemoattractant protein 1 (MCP-1) and interleukin 1β (IL-1β) in a dose-dependent manner under 0.01% to 0.125% concentration. On the inflammatory model of 3D reconstructed skin induced by H2O2, VGP significantly improved the cell viability and skin structure, and reduced the production of interleukin 8 (IL-8), PGE-2, and leukotriene B4 (LTB4). During 4 week’s treatment with test shampoo contained 0.5% VGP thrice a week on 16 subjects met with different symptom, VGP reduced the sebum content and TEWL, improved the redness, itching and dandruff on human scalp skin. Therefore, as a natural active ingredient VGP can play a role in scalp care and skin care by targeting inflammation.
