CéramidesUn céramide est un sphingolipide résultant de la combinaison d'un acide gras avec la sphingosine via une liaison amide. On trouve de telles molécules en abondance dans les membranes cellulaires, où elles entrent notamment dans la constitution des sphingomyélines. Les céramides ne jouent pas qu'un rôle structurel dans les membranes biologiques, et peuvent également revêtir des fonctions de signalisation lipidique. Leurs actions les mieux comprises vont de la différenciation cellulaire à la mort cellulaire programmée (apoptose) en passant par la prolifération cellulaire.
Les acides gras qui les constituent ont généralement un nombre pair (de 16 à 24) d'atomes de carbone, sont saturés ou monoinsaturés, et sont souvent α-hydroxylés.
La plupart des céramides n'existent pas à l'état naturel si ce n'est comme précurseurs de la biosynthèse des sphingolipides par une réaction d'addition sur la fonction alcool primaire de la sphingosine. (Wikipedia)

Vitamine CIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The application of leather dressing and lubricants is one of the important challenges in conservation of historic dry leathers, due to their effects on structural and visual properties and stability of leathers. This study aimed to investigate influence and stability of silicone oil and polyethylene glycol (PEG) on treated dry leathers, and application assessment of ascorbic acid (AA) as an antioxidant additive for PEG. The polymers, untreated and treated leather samples were submitted to heat accelerated ageing process. FTIR spectroscopy, colorimetry, pH measurements, investigation of mechanical properties and shrinkage temperature (Ts) were used to explain effect of treatments. Also, the oxidation of polymers during ageing process was monitored by FTIR spectroscopy. Results showed that silicone oil has better stability against thermal oxidation with compared to PEG. Ascorbic acid inhibited the PEG oxidation. Moreover, results revealed that the silicone oil has a better performance in treatment of dry leather than PEG or PEG+AA, due to its high stability and minimum changes in visual, structural and mechanical properties in treated leathers. Vitamine CIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : This thesis selected ascorbic acid as a symbol component, utilized Franz diffusion tank facility and pig ear skin to simulate the transdermal absorption environment and conditions, and employed high performance liquid chromatography to determine the ascorbic acid content and to discover the effect of four different types of cosmetics systems (facial mask (A), lyophilized essence (B1), combination of lyophilized essence and facial mask (B2) and essence (C)) on its transdermal absorption. It was found that the total amount of transdermal absorption of ascorbic acid within 4 hours was B2 > A > B1 > C, in which B2 reached 0.413 µg.mm-2, and the transdermal absorptivity was B2 > A > B1 > C, in which B2 even reached 0.98%. The results showed that the mask could promote the transdermal absorption of ascorbic acid, especially when the lyophilized essence worked together with the mask, the performance and effect of transdermal absorption were more significant, which could provide good suggestions for application in the use of product. Vitamine CIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : In this study, chrome tanned bovine crust leathers were dyed white during finishing process. Experiments with 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% and 5% L-ascorbic acid addition were performed on the finishing layer of the finishing application. L-ascorbic acid was not added to the control group and processed according to the standard method. After these processes, color measurement analyzes were performed on Konica Minolta CM 3600d spectrophotometer. In order to investigate the effects of L-ascorbic acid on other performance properties of leather, light fastness test according to TS 1008 EN ISO 105-B02 (2001 TS EN ISO 11640 2001) and dry rub fastness test according to standard method were performed. The results of the study were statistically evaluated according to the NCSS (Number Cruncher Statistical System) method. As a result of the research, it was observed that L-ascorbic acid gave a pearly pink color to the leathers. It was found that the dry rubbing fastness of the leathers treated with L-ascorbic acid improved. In the light fastness tests, the results of the experimental group leathers were recorded better by the blue scale. Vitamine CIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : - Objective : Deleterious effects of pollutants and ultraviolet radiation on the skin can be attenuated using formulations containing antioxidants. However, these have disadvantages, including chemical instability, photodegradation, poor bioavailability or biological activity. Here, two commercial formulations were evaluated: one optimized to stabilize and deliver ascorbic acid (AA) at 15% and the other containing a glucoside form of AA, namely ascorbic acid 2-glucoside (AA2G), at 1.8% and at a physiological pH. We compared the skin delivery, antioxidative effects and chemical stability of AA2G with AA in their respective formulations.
- Methods : Skin delivery was measured using fresh viable human skin explants, and oxidative stress was measured using a human reconstructed epidermal (RHE) model according to levels of malondialdehyde (MDA), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and catalase.
- Results : Ascorbic acid 2-glucoside was completely metabolized to AA by the skin before entering the receptor compartment. The skin contained parent and AA, indicating a reserve of AA2G was present for further metabolism. For AA2G and AA, maximum flux of AA-equivalents was at 12 h, with continued absorption over 24 h. The absolute amount in µg was higher in the skin after application of AA than after application of AA2G. This may suggest a greater antioxidative effect; however, according to all three measurements of oxidative stress, the protective effect of AA and AA2G was similar. Unlike AA, AA2G was chemically stable under storage conditions.
- Conclusion : A lower concentration of AA2G is as effective as the active metabolite, AA, in terms of antioxidant effects.
