Tripolyphosphate de sodiumIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : In this work, h-BN@STPP was successfully obtained by facile co-modification of sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) and silane coupling agent (KH-550) on h-BN nanosheets, with waterborne epoxy coatings incorporated for metallic substrate corrosion protection. Results showed that the impedance modulus at the lowest frequency (Zf = 0.1 Hz) of h-BN@STPP composite coating increased three orders of magnitude in comparison with neat waterborne epoxy coating, exhibiting outstanding corrosion resistance. The reinforced anticorrosion performances of h-BN@STPP composite coatings could be attributed to the “labyrinth effect” of h-BN and passivation effect of STPP on the metal substrates. Nanotubes de carbone à parois multiplesUn nanotube de carbone multifeuillet est constitué de plusieurs feuillets de graphènes enroulés les uns autour des autres. Il existe deux modèles pour décrire la structure des nanotubes multifeuillets :
- le modèle poupée russe: les plans de graphène sont arrangés en cylindres concentriques ;
- le modèle parchemin: un seul feuillet de graphène est enroulé sur lui-même, comme une feuille de papier.
Revêtements -- Propriétés mécaniques:Peinture -- Propriétés mécaniquesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : In the present study, attempts were made to enhance conductivity of electrocoats (based on epoxy amine adduct) containing NH2-multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The weight percent of incorporated MWCNTS into the electrocoat matrix varied in the range of 0.6–3.6 wt% to obtain a series of electrocoatings. These were then applied on steel substrates by a cathodic electrodeposition technique. Electrocoated films were characterized utilizing scanning electron microscopy and optical microscopy. The results illustrated that electrical conductivity was enhanced by increasing of the MWCNT load. At the percolation threshold, throwing power was dropped while the recoating ability was enhanced. Mechanical behavior of nanocomposites containing MWCNTs in the range of 0–2.8 wt% was investigated by dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) and nanoindentation test methods. DMTA analysis revealed that the width of tan δ was increased by the addition of nanotubes up to 2.8 (wt%). Also, the results obtained from the nanoindentation test showed that the elastic modulus and hardness of the nanocomposites were decreased by the addition of MWCNTs. In this study, polyol was studied as a diluent for formulations containing cycloaliphatic epoxide and oxetane in order to evaluate the effect on coatings properties and curing kinetics. The addition of polyol was shown to have an effect on both mobility of the cation as a chain transfer agent, along with the more general effect of flexibility, as evidenced by the hardness data, which increased when a small amount of polyol was added, but decreased as more polyol was included in the formulation. In terms of crosslinking kinetics, it was found that the inclusion of polyol resulted in an increase in conversion during UV irradiation. The level of polyol also had an effect on other properties, such as Tg and crosslink density. SilanesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Physical and mechanical properties of epoxy resin-based coatings were improved using either a combination of a silane coupling agent aminoethylaminopropyltrimethoxysilane (AEAPS) and an epoxy resin, or an epoxy resin alone. An epoxy resin, with added AEAPS at the concentration of 1 or 3wt% at a film thickness of 25 to 100µm, showed better adhesion on steel surfaces than the epoxy resin alone. The epoxy resin, cured with an AEAPS concentration of 7wt% at a film thickness of 100µm, could withstand heat at 300°C for 20 minutes. The heat-resistance result was measured in terms of colour difference (ΔE) by a colorimetric method, from which the maximum ΔE between the coated film with the epoxy resin-AEAPS and the epoxy resin alone was 3.4. The heat resistance of coated films of epoxy resin-AEAPS tested by thermo-gravimetric analysis showed that the heat resistance increased with increasing AEAPS concentration. The Si-O-Si cross-linking position, found by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), confirmed its effect on heat endurance and corrosion prevention. The authors found that the use of AEAPS of 7wt% for a 100µm film could prevent the occurrence of corrosion under a 1000-hour salt-spray exposure. The corrosion rate was found to be 0.39 mil (9.9µm) per year. The flooring with AEAPS addition to the epoxy resin was better than that with cycloaliphatic amine. The addition of AEAPS of 15.5wt% improved the film mechanical properties, hardness, compressive strength and chemical resistance in comparison with the neat epoxy resin or the combination of AEAPS and cycloaliphatic amine.
