VernisIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Results of protracted and extensive research demonstrate that sound quality can be obtained when processing inferior quality leathers. A major breakthrough is achievable with productivity and environmental factors remaining firmly part of the equation. The development work carried out focussed upon the concept of combining rollcoating machine operations, patterned rollers and plate embossing. Chemical products and applications were studied aimed at keeping operations simple and to secure clearly balanced and sophisticated results with the introduction of a range of wholly new products responding to high quality requirements. The research work involved an improved understanding of the process and its implications upon production costs, leading to ideal finishing techniques, optimum productivity and thus to market competitiveness.
Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : As aqueous inkjet continues to take market shares from traditional printing techniques, it must expand its substrates from traditional office paper to a broader spectrum of substrates used for packaging, signage and labels. CAB-O-SPERSE® silica and alumina dispersions can help prime difficult substrates to work with aqueous inkjet inks because of the porosity they generate and their surface charge characteristics. These dispersions enable the formulation of precoats that can greatly enhance optimized image quality such as high color saturation, less mottle and wet smudge resistance. They also offer stability and flexibility in the waterborne coating systems. Note de contenu : - Fumed metal oxide dispersions - key component in an aqueous inkjet receptive coating

Application of functional coatings are becoming increasingly popular with the technology progress in material science field and continuous research in specialty coating segment. By using right functional/specialty coating, it is possible to achieve specific coating propergies like anti-corrosion, anti-corrosion, anti-erosion, anti-wear and chemical resistance, infra-red rejection, enhanced light transmission, electrical dissipation etc. Applications of these coatings are carried out over variety of substrates including but aluminum, glass etc. to deliver the special properties for which it is designed. Revêtements organiquesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Many industries today recognize the need to improve the sustainability of processes and products. The paint and coatings sector is no excep¬tion. The development of "greener" products is no longer driven simply by regulatory changes, but also by the need to meet customer expectations and the desire to realize the economic, social, and environmental advantages that many sustainable solutions can offer. There is still much to be learned, however, and academic researchers in universities around the world are exploring many of the fundamental questions about the potential of greener raw materials and the resins and other ingredients derived from them to yield cost-effective, high-performing paints and coatings.
