TransmittanceLa transmittance, en général, est le rapport caractérisant la transmission d'une grandeur dans un système. Elle se calcule par le rapport entre la grandeur en entrée et en sortie.
En optique, la transmittance d'un matériau ou d'un filtre est la fraction du flux lumineux le traversant. Elle est également nommée facteur de transmission mais aussi transparence dans le domaine de la photographie.Index. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Les absorbeurs d'UV sont sur le marché depuis plus de vingt ans pour protéger divers produits (élastomères renforcés fibres comme les pneus, tissus enduits, polymères, fibres, etc.) contre la dégradation mécanique par les UV ou pour améliorer la solidité lumière du polyester (tissus pour l'automobile par exemple). La protection UV des personnes est maintenant d'actualité, à juste titre car les UV peuvent être dangereux. On entre alors dans le domaine des incertitudes, des messages publicitaires approximatifs, sans oublier la multiplicité des "normes" qui ajoute à la confusion du consommateur. Des surfaces textiles soigneusement conçues et des agents anti-UV bien adaptés sont les conditions pour faire du marché de l'habillement anti-UV plus qu'un marché "émergent".
