(Wikipedia)

ZincIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : In this study, a novel metal-free phthalocyanine and three metallophthalocyanines carrying four 2-[2-(4-tert-butylphenoxy)ethoxy groups on the periphery were prepared by cyclotetramerisation of a dinitrile derivative in the presence of the corresponding divalent metal salts [zinc(ii), cobalt(ii), copper(ii)]. These new phthalocyanine compounds have been characterised by infrared, 1H and 13C nuclear magnetic resonance and electrospray mass spectroscopies and elemental analysis. The electrochemical properties of the metal-free, zinc(ii) and cobalt(ii) phthalocyanines were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry methods. The cobalt complex showed a metal-based reduction process, while the metal-free and zinc(ii) phthalocyanines showed ligand-based electron transfer processes. It has been found that the absorption spectra substantially depend on concentration. It has been shown that these changes are attributable to the association of the phthalocyanine molecule. The number of molecules in the associates and the equilibrium constants for this association are determined. FluorescenceIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : Novel solid-state fluorescent azo colourants derived from 5-amino-2-(4-dimethylaminophenyl) benzimidazole as electron donor were synthesised. The colourants were characterised by means of elemental analysis, 1H NMR, and mass spectrometry. These colourants showed molar extinction coefficients in the range 12 000–48 000 dm3 mol?1 cm?1. These compounds exhibited solid-state fluorescence under short UV (254 nm). Electron coupling originating from broad ?-electron delocalisation and keto–enol form is responsible for the large Stokes shift as indicated by absorption and fluorescence spectra. These colourants were soluble in polar aprotic high-boiling solvents such as N,N-dimethylformamide, N,N-dimethylacetamide, and dimethyl sulphoxide, whereas they were insoluble in other common organic solvents. Thermogravimetric analysis of solid-state fluorescent colourants showed that two of the colourants showed thermal stability in the range 230–240 °C, whereas for the rest of the colourants it was found to be lower, and hence the two colourants could find application in the coloration of polymers. The modification was achieved by crosslinking the hydroxyl group of PSil and ethoxy group of PU in the presence of di-n-butyltin dilaurate. The chemical structure of PU was analyzed by Fourier Transform Infrared and Hydrogen-1 Nuclear Magnetic Resonance spectroscopic methods. A series of modified silicone resins (MSRs) have been synthesized and investigated. The molecular weights of the resins were determined by means of gel permeation chromatography. The morphology of the MSR studied by scanning electron microscopy has shown that the resin containing 30% of PU has a small particle size and a good particle size distribution. The adhesion and the mechanical properties of the resins containing 20, 30, and 40% of PU have shown a good performance. Using thermogravimetric analysis, the thermal properties and the thermal degradation of the MSR were investigated. The dark green colour Copper(II) soaps derived from Neem and Karanj oil, their greenish brown complexes with ligand 2-amino-6-methyl benzothiazole containing nitrogen and sulphur have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis. IR and NMR of complexes suggest that the complexation has taken place successfully. From the analytical data the stoichiometry of the complexes has been observed to be 1:1 (metal-ligand). Copper soaps and their complexes are good anti-fungal agents. The fungi toxicities of the oils, soaps and complexes of neem and karanj have been investigated. The results indicate that the strain of Candida species is susceptible towards complexes of benzothiazole. Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=5458
