The interaction samples were characterized by XRD and TG. The experimental results showed that a-Na2Si2O5 and B-Na2Si2O5 sustained their phases after interacted with surfactants. The relative crystallinity of a-Na2Si2O5 had little change after interacting with surfactants exception of AOS because it had better adsorbable effect on the surface of a-Na2Si2O5 than LAS, K12 and AEO-9. At the same conditions, the amount of H2O and surfactants were both important factors on the relative crystallinity of béta-Na2Si2O5. It also was proved that the temperature had little influence on the relative crystallinity of both alpha-Na2Si2O5 and béta-Na2Si2O5. Compared with Al-d-Na2Si2O5, a-Na2Si2O5 and B-Na2Si2O5 were more stable than Al-d-Na2Si2O5 after interacted with surfactants. Langues : Anglais (eng) Tags : Amphoteric collector zeta potential electrostatic interaction adsorption Index. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : The silica represents the main gangue mineral in iron ore deposits. Different surfactants were used for separation of silica from iron ores. In the current work, an amphoteric collector was used as an alternative for the current reagents. Pure minerals of silica and hematite were used to investigate the mechanism of the amphoteric collector adsorption on both minerals. It was found that the adsorption density of collector was pH dependent. Preferential adsorption of collector was found to be at acidic pH range. The mechanism of collector interaction with the mineral surface was found to proceed via electrostatic interaction. Zeta potential measurements have indicated the possibility of collector adsorption by electrostatic interaction under the conditions where mineral surface and collector are oppositely charged Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=3197

Based on these results, tailormade strategies for an optimization of the rheological and hence the application properties have been deduced for coating formulations with different acrylate-type binders. From the surface tension measurements, the critical micelle concentration (cmc) data were measured as a function of mixing composition. Cmc-values were then analyzed according to regular solution model. The composition of mixed micelles, the interaction parameter (B) and the activity coefficients were evaluated from the regular solution model for the all anionic-amphoteric mixed systems. The interaction parameter values indicated a synergistic interaction between DDAO and the three anionic surfactants at all mole fractions to be due to an overall attractive interaction in the mixed micelles. The strength of the interaction between tha amphoteric surfactant and the sodium alkyl sulfate in three mixed systems obeys the following order : SDeS/DDAO>SDS>DDAO>STS>DDAO suggesting that the decrease in the length of anionic surfactant alkyl chain results in a stronger interaction with DDAO. On the other hand, the viscosity data reveals a viscosity increasing trend of STS/DDAO>SDS/DDAO>SDeS/DDAO. Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=6251
