Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Surfactants Tags : Surfactant 'Méthode d'écoulement arrêté' Vésicule Microémulsion 'Additif semi polaire' 'Cinétique de formation' Index. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Phase behaviour and static structure of surfactant systems have been studied in much detail, but this applies much less so to their dynamic properties. Structural transitions in amphiphilic systems can be triggered by mixing different amphiphiles. Employing the stopped-flow technique we have studied the kinetics of formation of multilamellar vesicles starting from a micellar solution and a microemulsion containing a semipolar oil. This process has been investigated for various starting conditions and as a function of the charging of the amphiphilic system. The formation process is the faster the closer the starting solution is in composition to the final state and can be slowed down by the presence of ionic surfactant. The modified SFC showed an equivalent performance to a commercial low-profile additive. This process is now being proposed for enhanced recycling. There is an increasing demand for non-halogen flame-retarded composites for construction and mass transportation. The use of newly developed, effective synergist blends of non-halogen phosphorus flame retardants increases the flame resistance of composite materials. Contrary to current technical standards, these new developments allow a much lower loading of flame retardants to meet the high safety requirements, and thus provide the possibility to produce lightweight construction elements with better mechanical properties and introduce composites into new application areas. This reaction is associated with significant polymerization shrinkage. As a consequence, composite parts moulded with these resins suffer from lower dimensional stability and poor surface quality. Surface quality is significantly improved through the addition of Low Profile Additives [LPA]. Many different types of LPA are available; all of them are thermoplastics, with different degrees of compatibility with the UPE resin.
