The prepared modified prepolymers were terminated using amino-polyether (Jeffamine M-2070) and maleic acid-modified polyethylene glycol “PEG 1000” to obtain dispersing agents for water-based disperse dye inkjet inks. Dispersants T1–T5 (based on TMP), dispersants G1–G5 (glycerol) and dispersants C1–C5 (castor oil) were characterized using FTIR to monitor the reaction progress. Inkjet inks made using these dispersants were characterized by particle size, dynamic surface tension, rheology profile and accelerated stability against commercial dispersant. The results revealed that glycerol and TMP-based dispersants provided optimum performance as compared to commercial standard, while castor oil-based dispersants failed the wettability and dispersion stability tests. TomographieIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : In this work, a novel cationic fatliquoring agent YI-1 was prepared by two steps. Firstly, a cationic emulsifier YW based on fatty acid triethanolamine ester was synthesized by using stearic acid, triethanolamine and benzyl chloride. Then, YH was obtained by mixing a certain amount of YW, non-ionic surfactant and neutral oil. The composition of YH was optimized by its application behaviour as a fatliquor. The structure of YW was characterised by infrared spectroscopy and H-NMR. The surface tension of YW aqueous solution was determined by using a surface tension meter. The stability, particle size and zeta potential of YH were studied. The results show that YH exhibits high centrifugal stability and electrolyte resistance with an average particle size of 24.44nm and zeta potential of 60.8mV at pl-14.5. The leather samples treated by YH show high softness, tensile strength and tear strength. When YH was used as a dye-fixing agent, it could promote the absorption and fixation of anionic dyestuff, and improve the dry/wet fastness of leather and the colour fastness of washing.

Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : A series of novel silicone-modified polyesters (SPE) were prepared by substituting part ofdiol with low molecular weight hydroxyl-terminated poly(dimethylsiloxane) (PDMS). Then, isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) as hard segments and 1,4-butanediol as chain extender were added to SPE to prepare a silicone-modified polyurethane (SPU). The effects of the type of diol, diacid, and hydroxyl-terminated PDMS, and the amount of hydroxyl-terminated PDMS on the preparation and surface properties of SPU were investigated. It was found that the amount of PDMS incorporated into a polyester chain was relatively higher when 1,6-hexanediol (HDO) and 1,10-decandiol (DDO) were used as diol and the PDMS with lower molecular weight was used as organosilicone compound. Consequently, the SPU coats with HDO as diol, adipic acid (AA) as diacid, and short chain PDMS as silicone segment had the lowest surface-free energy since it had the highest and most homogeneous distribution of silicone segments at its top layer surfaces. ThermogravimétrieIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : A waterborne cationic fluorinated polyurethane (WCFPU) was prepared by the reaction of isophorone isocyanate (IPDI), polyether polyol (PTMG1000), N-methyldiethanolamine (MDEA), trimethylol propane (TMP) and 2-(perfluorooctyl) ethyl alcohol (FEOH), and then was used in leather finishing. Their structure, morphology, surface property, thermal performance and chemical resistance were characterized by Fourier trnasform infrared spectromoter (FT-IR), light scattering (LS), transmission electron microscope (TEM), interfacial tension instrument (IT), contact angle (CA), differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), thermogravimetry (TG) and spot test. The results reveal that WCFPU was endowed with low surface tension of its micro-emulsion and low surface energy of its film which was beneficial to the properties of coating. DSC and TG diagrams also revealed that the application range of product was enlarged. It was also found that the fluorinated polyurethane had outstanding chemical resistance. Furthermore, it was found that the WCFPU micro-emulsion was a good finishing agent, endowing leather with water and oil resistance, natural brightness, softness, embonpoint and moist surface, and thus evidently improved the quality of leather.
