Analyse de varianceEn statistique, l'analyse de la variance (terme souvent abrégé par le terme anglais ANOVA : ANalysis Of VAriance) est un ensemble de modèles statistiques utilisés pour vérifier si les moyennes des groupes proviennent d'une même population. Les groupes correspondent aux modalités d'une variable qualitative (p. ex. variable : traitement; modalités : programme d'entrainement sportif, suppléments alimentaires ; placebo) et les moyennes sont calculés à partir d'une variable continue (p. ex. gain musculaire).
Ce test s'applique lorsque l'on mesure une ou plusieurs variables explicatives catégorielles (appelées alors facteurs de variabilité, leurs différentes modalités étant parfois appelées "niveaux") qui ont de l'influence sur la loi d'une variable continue à expliquer. SiliceLa silice est la forme naturelle du dioxyde de silicium (SiO2) qui entre dans la composition de nombreux minéraux.
La silice existe à l'état libre sous différentes formes cristallines ou amorphes et à l'état combiné dans les silicates, les groupes SiO2 étant alors liés à d'autres atomes (Al : Aluminium, Fe : Fer, Mg : Magnésium, Ca : Calcium, Na : Sodium, K : Potassium...).
Les silicates sont les constituants principaux du manteau et de l'écorce terrestre. La silice libre est également très abondante dans la nature, sous forme de quartz, de calcédoine et de terre de diatomée. La silice représente 60,6 % de la masse de la croûte terrestre continentale.

ThermogravimétrieIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The present paper discusses the adsorption and desorption kinetics of silica coated on cotton (CO) and polyester (PES) textile fabrics. Surfaces of CO and PES textile were coated by the sol–gel process using tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) and chloropropyltriethoxysilane (CPTS) as silica precursors. The silica concentration was determined according to NF T90-007 standard. The kinetic adsorption data for CO samples can be described by the pseudo-first order and by the pseudo-second order for those of PES. The highest adsorption and desorption rate of silica was found for CO fabrics treated with CPTS and TEOS, respectively. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) was carried out to statistically verify the result found from adsorption and desorption experimental manipulations. The results of silica adsorption and desorption were statistically analyzed according to ANOVA test with a significance level of 0.05. Scanning electron microscopy observations were taken to assess the effect of desorption in the morphology of the coated fabrics. The mechanical properties of textile fabrics were investigated by the uniaxial traction test according to NF EN ISO 13934-1:2013 standard. Thermogravimetric analysis was used to investigate the thermal stability of fabrics in air. The results showed that both the mechanical and thermal properties of textile samples after silica desorption did not change radically. Also, their water repellency remained significant even after the desorption test. TissésIndex. décimale : 667.3 Teinture et impression des tissus Résumé : Sea–island-type, black dope-dyed poly(ethylene terephthalate) microfibre fabrics were compared with normal sea–island-type PET microfibres in terms of their thermal properties, alkaline weight reduction, and dyeing properties. A comparison of the weight reduction behaviours of the two microfibre yarns revealed that the microfibre yarn containing carbon black exhibited a higher dissolution speed than that containing no carbon black. The incorporation of carbon black particles in the polyester fibre matrix therefore accelerates the degradation of the less crystalline sea component during alkali treatment. A cationic dye staining method was used to monitor the alkaline dissolution behaviour of the sea–island-type PET microfibres, and compared with the K/S values and the colour difference, the fk value is the most-desirable indicator for determination of the termination point of the alkaline dissolution process. The colour strength and the colour fastness of the dope-dyed sea–island-type PET microfibre fabrics are superior to those of the normal type. C’est un métal pauvre, malléable, de couleur argent, qui est remarquable pour sa résistance à l’oxydation13 et sa faible densité. C'est le métal le plus abondant de l'écorce terrestre et le troisième élément le plus abondant après l'oxygène et le silicium ; il représente en moyenne 8 % de la masse des matériaux de la surface solide de notre planète. L'aluminium est trop réactif pour exister à l'état natif dans le milieu naturel : on le trouve au contraire sous forme combinée dans plus de 270 minéraux différents, son minerai principal étant la bauxite, où il est présent sous forme d’oxyde hydraté dont on extrait l’alumine. Il peut aussi être extrait de la néphéline, de la leucite, de la sillimanite, de l'andalousite et de la muscovite.
L'aluminium métallique est très oxydable, mais est immédiatement passivé par une fine couche d'alumine Al2O3 imperméable de quelques micromètres d'épaisseur qui protège la masse métallique de la corrosion. On parle de protection cinétique, par opposition à une protection thermodynamique, car l’aluminium reste en tout état de cause très sensible à l'oxydation. Cette résistance à la corrosion et sa remarquable légèreté en ont fait un matériau très utilisé industriellement.
L'aluminium est un produit industriel important, sous forme pure ou alliée, notamment dans l'aéronautique, les transports et la construction. Sa nature réactive en fait également un catalyseur et un additif dans l'industrie chimique ; il est ainsi utilisé pour accroître la puissance explosive du nitrate d'ammonium.

Tannage Résumé : The application and mechanism study of microwave irradiation in traditional industries have attracted considerable attention owing to the unique thermal and athermal effects that could lead to unexpected benefits in high-efficiency and clean production. Herein, we report the investigation of the aluminum tanning under microwave irradiation upon using hide powder and skin pieces, respectively, as simulants of real hide or skin. The aluminum tanning process and the tanned products under microwave heating (MWH) were studied and compared with those of conventional water bath heating (WBH) as the controls. For the tanning system of hide powder, the tanning effluents were analyzed in terms of pH, conductivity, dielectric constant and aluminum content, and the tanned powder was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, and FT-IR spectroscopy. For the skin piece system, the pH and aluminum content of tanning effluents were also determined, and at the same time, DSC, TG, SEM, FT-IR and shrinkage temperature were used to illustrate the actions of microwaves on the structure and properties of the tanned pieces. The results show that aluminum reactivity in the penetration and binding process of collagen fibers in hide powder and skin pieces improved using microwave treatment. The residual aluminum content was greatly reduced by microwave heating action, and the increased amount of aluminum with evener distribution was observed in the tanned products. Microwave irradiation also resulted in the tanned products with better thermal stability and thermal decomposition resistance. This work further promotes application of microwave treatments for aluminum-based tanning in leather industry. ThermogravimétrieIndex. décimale : 668.3 Adhésifs et produits semblables Résumé : Challenges posed by low energy substrates, environmental regulations, product integrity and economic pressure place demands on adhesive performance that are increasingly difficult to meet using traditional technologies. PVOH-stabilized vinyl acetate/acrylics present a new approach to satisfying these demands. While VAAs have found initial acceptance in applications requiring Tgs below the range accessible with VAE technology, this work has demonstrated that VAAs offer advantages even at higher Tgs. Rovace HP-3442 exhibits an attractive combination of adhesion to a wide range of difficult-to-bond substrates, cohesive strength comparable to VAEs and good creep resistance. The scope of this study has been the performance of the copolymer backbones, but other advantages of using VAAs become apparent when compounding begins. PVOH stabilization gives the VAAs excellent mechanical stability and compatibility with common formulating raw materials. The incorporation of carboxyl functionality provides reactive groups for crosslinking chemistry. And the vinyl acrylic copolymers are compatible with a range of tackifiers and other additives that provide added versatility and flexibility for formulating to meet specific performance requirements (3). Couple these benefits with the economics of vinyl acetate copolymers and one can see low VAAS are the-state-of-the-art in waterborne adhesive emulsions. Note de contenu : - ADHESION VS.COHESION

Biodegradability tests were performed by aerobic exposure of the selected six soling materials to the soil matrix and measuring the degradation and decomposition occurred with time. All soling materials were characterized for physical and physicochemical properties such as weight loss, hardness, density, tensile strength, abrasion resistance, thermal and morphological properties before and after exposing to the simulated compost environment. In the present study, the end-of-life nature of footwear soling materials currently used by the footwear industries are explored, which will further emphasize the importance of development and use of biodegradable materials in the footwear manufacturing.
