Polybutylène téréphtalateIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Good Growth Opportunities - The global market for PBT compounds offers highly promising prospects for the future. Over the next few years, it will expand by about 5 % per annum – mainly thanks to the strong growth in Asia and new applications in the electromobility and other sectors. Since 2010, as with many engineering thermoplastics, there has been a sharp increase in the cost of both raw materials and important additives. Note de contenu : - Global investment in capacity expansion
- High costs for feedstocks and additives
- Material and application development
- Outlook : new applications through global megatrendsPermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=15073

Résistance à l'hydrolyseIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The global market for PBT compounds is enjoying a secure supply situation at the present time. This is due to extensive investments in plants for PBT base resin, latterly mainly in China. By the end of this year, some 1.5 million t of annual capacity will be installed globally. The precursors for PBT are also available in sufficient quantities. In the medium term, global consumption of PBT compounds will increase by 6 to 7 % annually. Note de contenu : - Growth in almost all regions
- Capacity expansion
- Easy flowing compounds optimized
- Hydrolysis - resistant for extreme conditions
- Extremely low-fogging bezels
- Flame-retardant with balanced properties
- Replacement of SMC in truck accessories
- Biomonomers as a drop-in solution

Séparation de phasesIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Polymers, and even more so polymer blends, are selected for their particular properties and processing characteristics. It is often necessary to include additives in the polymer formulations, either to facilitate processing, or to extend the life of the polymeric product that is created. Colourants are additives that are principally used for aesthetic purposes. However, the addition of a colourant to a thermoplastic system can lead to unexpected and sometimes detrimental changes in the material properties of that system.
In this review, the general characteristics of polymer blends and the processes involved in manufacturing them are discussed. Additives that may be included in the formulation and the interactions that can arise among the blend components are also described. The relevance of these components and processes are then discussed in regard to blends of polycarbonate and poly(butylene-terephthalate).Note de contenu : - INTRODUCTION : Polymer blends - Additives for polymer blends and general additive use - Additive interactions in polymers blends - Interactions and reactions in composite blends
