Surface treatment of the pigment particles with inorganic and organic substances allows the specific modification of these properties. The interaction between the viscosity and curing kinetics on the one hand and key coating properties such as flow, gloss and hiding power on the other hand is demonstrated in pigmented powder coatings and discussed.
