Tannage Résumé : Three types of humic acids of different sources have been analysed in order to quantify the functional groups that may be liable to react with the proteins of leather. The quantification serves to determine the extent to which each of these acids be used as tanning or retanning agents. The three types of humid acids have been compared mathematically according to their content with the aforementioned functional groups. Humic acids have structures similar to those of vegetable tannins. Note de contenu : - INTRODUCTION : Current situation - Tanning capacity of humic acids

TannageIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : This study examines the behavior of three different types of humic acids (natural humic acids, regenerated humic acids, and sulphited humic acids) with regard to their penetration and fixation to the leather. More specifically, through the test carried out the curves of penetration and fixation were drawn, and from these the optimum pH intervals of penetration and fixation to the leather were determined. The data obtained is essential in view of the subsequent application of humic acids as tanning agents and/or retanning agents. Textiles et tissus à usages techniquesIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The aim of this work was to develop new systems of micro/nanocomposites to confer new functions to materials used for seats of public vehicles and public spaces. Specifically, this study focuses on antibacterial effect for leather and technical textile substrates.
The first stage of the research consists of a selection of micro/micro/nanomaterials and active principles: selection and evaluation of micro/nanoparticles, antibacterial and antifungal substances. In the second stage, the process of encapsulation of active principles was studied. The research includes optimization of the encapsulation process by improving the size and stability of the capsules. In addition, the synthesis of a hybrid organic-inorganic polymer acting as a micro/micro/nanomaterial carrier was developed.
To understand the mechanisms of synthesis and action of micro/micro/nanomaterials, characterization techniques have been used: scanning electron microscopy SEM and optical microscopy, analysis and distribution of particle size (DLS, Zetasizer). Regarding the antibacterial and antifungal ability of micro/nanocomposites, we adapted standard ASTM 2180-07 "Test methods for determining the activity or incorporated antimicrobial agent (s) in polymeric or hydrophobic materials."
Different products have been developed and the results obtained allow us to conclude that the synthesized products showed inhibition to the growth of bacteria and fungi on the contact surface.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL : Reagents - Characterization of the products obtained

Textiles et tissusIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The main objective of this work is to develop new nanocomposites to apply on the substrates of the leather and textile industry for seats of spaces and public vehicles. Specifically, we want to obtain a flame retardant effect using nanostructured coatings that confer thermal stability and fire resistance. The different nanomaterials should be included in a polymeric matrix ; the hybrid organic-inorganic polymers will act as carriers of the nanomaterials, with the ability to interact with the nanoparticles and walls of the nanocapsules. In addition, they must show affinity for the collagen, in order to be introduced in the three-dimensional structure of leather and fixing them on its surface, as well as interacting with the textile substrate. The flame retardant capacity of the two synthesised products has been achieved according to regulations UNE-EN 1021:06 part 1 and 2 and standard UNE 23723 : 1990. Textiles et tissusIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The main aim of this study is to develop nover rnultifunctional nanotechnology systems that are applied in textile and leather industry processes for the upholstery used on seating for public spaces and vehicles. More specifically, the study seeks to achieve a dirt-free effect using nanostructured coatings that can bath repel dirt and produce a material with self-cleaning properties. To obtain this property, we use polymers for leather finishing polymers and self-assembling technical textile in several nanophases and microphases with a superhydrophobic effect similar to that of the lotus leaf, but with a greater resistance to abrasion. Additionally, in this study we also use hybrid multifunctional polyurethanes, organic-inorganic amphipihilic polymers with hydrophobic, oleophobic, and hydrophilic nanophases and microphases which can spontaneously rearrange on substrates, creating structures that repel both water and dirt.
The study consists of three stages : in i) selecting the most appropriate substances to achieve the self-cleaning effect ; ii) synthesizing nanostructured polymers with elastic properties, hybrid polymers with a fluoropolyurethane base, and the organic part based on self-cross-linking silanes ; iii) assessing the polymers obtained.
To understand the mechanisms of synthesis and action of the nanocomposites, the following characterization techniques have been applied : determination of particle size by means of dynamic light scattering ; determination of contact angle ; and determination of surface roughness.
A total of 25 products were developed. The results indicate that it is possible to produce coatings that give good hydrophobic properties and a self-cleaning effect to leather and textile surfaces. However, when these products are applied as coatings, the appearance and rigidity of the finished leather needs to be further improved.Note de contenu : - Synthesis of nanocomposites to obtain a superhydrophobic surface
