Régénération (biologie)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Skin‐derived precursors (SKPs) have been described as multipotent dermal precursors. Here, we provide a review of the breadth and depth of scientific literature and studies regarding SKPs, accounting for a large number of scientific publications. Interestingly, these progenitors can be isolated from embryonic and adult skin, as well as from a population of dermal cells cultured in vitro in monolayer. Gathering information from different authors, this review explores different aspects of the SKP theme, such as the potential distinct origins of SKPs in rodents and in humans, and also their ability to differentiate in vitro and in vivo into multiple lineages of different progeny. This remarkable capacity makes SKPs an interesting endogenous source of precursors to explore in the framework of experimental and therapeutic applications in different domains. SKPs are not only involved in the skin’s dermal maintenance and support as well as wound healing, but also in hair follicle morphogenesis. This review points out the interests of future researches on SKPs for innovative perspectives that may be helpful in many different types of scientific and medical domains. Ressources agricolesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The benefits of the Mediterranean diet are well known. Fruit and vegetables, in particular, contribute to these benefits thank to their rich composition in phytonutrients, with anti-oxidant and nourishing properties.
Because skin is a part of our body, it makes sense that the general benefits of a healthy diet would translate into maintaining a healthy and good looking skin.
In order to formulate topical products delivering the same benefits of a healthy diet, we selected fruits derived from Italian agriculture known to be extremely rich in molecules with anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and repairing properties. Some of the molecules we obtained originated from food by-products, in order to maximize a sustainable approach and bringing added value to raw materials that otherwise would be wasted or used into less valuable end products.
One of the challenge when sourcing natural ingredients for cosmetic applications is the capacity to transform them in actives with proven efficacy. This effort implies a knowledge in how to concentrate and stabilize the ingredient as well as testing it to prove that it can indeed deliver the expected performance when targeting a specific cosmetic concern.
We have created a full line of active ingredients sourced from Italian agricultural products. We called this approach Tasty Cosmetology and the resulting line of products ITALINE. We were able to identify the best plant source based on its known scientific properties and active ingredients composition and by further processing it we were able to create a unique proposal of actives with high level of efficacy, stability and safety.
All our ITALINE actives were characterized by analytical chemistry for their molecular composition and fully tudied for their biological activity in the skin by in vitro, ex vivo and clinical testing. Furthermore their safety was proven clinically and their stability was followed over time in different experimental conditions.Note de contenu : - BLUEBERRY SKIN CONCENTRATE : INCI : Vaccinium Corinbosum (Blueberry) fruit extract ; trade name : Italine B

Régénération (biologie)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Stimulated by beauty rituals, the senses can also awakened into the skin through recently observed biological activity. The discovery of sensory receptors in the epidermis, in particular olfactory and taste receptors, opens up new prospects for the regeneration of skin tissue in aging conditions. Based on strong scientific expertise (in vitro modeling study, metabolomic study, in silico molecular modeling), SILAB developed a cosmetic natural active ingredient imbued with sensoriality targeting epidermal regeneration. It is derived from a co-product of coconut, a tropical fruit with a unique sensory profile. Note de contenu : - Sensoriality into the skin, an innovative concept

Son objectif est de produire des biens et services tout en limitant fortement la consommation et le gaspillage des matières premières, et des sources d'énergies non renouvelables ;

Régénération (biologie)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Sandalwood extract (SW) is a natural biofunctional inspired by forest therapy to defy the skin olfactory signature of ageing. Obtained by supercritical CO2 extraction from santalum album, this unique and patented biofunctional leverages the forest bathing trend for well ageing benefits. SW enhances skin olfactory receptors shown to decrease with age and air pollution. It reduces skin cell senescence and helps mitigate air pollution damage. It has clinically proven benefits on skin regeneration, firmness, wrinkles, and on the skin olfactory signature of aging. SW is the first biofunctional developed with artificial intelligence.
