Tribologie (technologie)Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The adhesion tendency of the polymers polyoxymethylene , polyamide 6.6 and polyether ether ketone against hard coatings to protect molds in polymer processing was evaluated by a combination of tribological tests, investigations of wear tracks and measurements of the coatings’ surface energies. It was found that a low surface roughness and a low surface energy of the coating are beneficial to reduce friction and adhesion tendency. Among the coating materials investigated, CrN seems to be the most promising candidate for the protection of molds for polymer processing. Pulvérisation cathodiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Cathodic electrodeposition (CED) coating was developed as a new type of industrial application for an anticorrosion coating since the mid 1970s. It has many merits, such as little environmental pollution, no fire hazard, excellent corrosion resistance, high throwing power and a degree of automation for coatings. Thus, it is widely used in automotives, light industry, agricultural machinery, household appliances, instruments, crafts, building materials and so on.
CED coating if often composed of water-soluble cationic resin, pigments and extenders, solvent and neutraliser, which is made by grinding. The cationic resin is the binder of the CED coating and is also the colour developing agent, which is vital to the properties of coating and its film. Thus, the cationic resin is one of the most important components for CED coating. Presently, the main research focuses on increasing kinds of cationic resin and improving the properties of cationic resin. In this paper, the advances of the cationic resin is reviewed.Note de contenu : - ADVANCE OF BASIC RESIN IN CED COATING : Epoxy resin - Acrylic resin - Polyurethane resins - Composite resins of epoxy and acrylate - Fluorocarbon resins - Organic silicon modified resins En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/153bvIC4u7knkAUqiPwr3Ygriz0pSJ-0p/view?usp=drive [...]

TitaneIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Nanocomposites involve the inclusion of one material into the layers of another material at a nanoscale level. Inspired by nature, nanocomposites material systems offer functionalities over their bulk forms which in some cases have evolved over millions of years. Here, thin film coatings have been fabricated by PVD sputtering, comprising a soft PTFE phase which is combined with a hard metallic NiTi phase. A series of coatings with PTFE ranging from 10 to 75 vol% have been prepared, and their surface energies and microstructures investigated. The surface energy of the nanocomposite films changes with the PTFE content, falling in the range between PTFE and NiTi with water contact angles between 80° and 102° for a thin film with 25 and 75 vol% of PTFE, respectively. Here, both TEM and EDX reveal PTFE forming along NiTi column boundaries. Coatings with PTFE content greater than 50 vol% failed due to a build-up of intrinsic stress. The degree of hybridization between NiTi and PTFE was found to be dependent on the PTFE layer thickness. SEM analysis of this coating reveals PTFE at the surface embedded within the NiTi matrix. Spectroscopie d'impédance électrochimiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The corrosion resistance characteristics of three coatings on magnesium alloy AZ31—conventional paint with phosphate film, cathodic electrodeposition coating (E-coating), and E-coating pretreated with silane (Mg/silane/E-coating)—have been studied by means of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in a 3.5 wt% NaCl neutral aqueous solution and salt spray test using ASTM B117. Silane film was obtained by dipping AZ31 specimens in diluted hydroalcoholic silanic solutions and successively curing. It was found that the corrosion resistance of the Mg alloy with E-coating was superior to conventional paint and could be further enhanced with silane pretreatment as an interfacial film. The results of water volume fraction (Φsaturation) and diffusion coefficient (D) also indicated that the Mg/silane/E-coating possessed excellent compactness and corrosion resistance. A model of the corrosion mechanism for Mg/silane/E-coating has been presented through EIS analysis.
