The studies extend from simple tensile and pressure testing, through measurement of the heat distortion temperature, to long-term properties and the durability in the finite-life and high-cycle ranges. In addition, impact tests can be used to assess the material behavior at higher deformation rates. Note de contenu : - Determination of the heat distortion temperature

Résistance à la compressionIndex. décimale : 668.9 Polymères Résumé : This paper aims to disclose the variation law in the performance of inorganic polymer concrete (IPC) columns under varied temperatures. Therefore, the IPC columns were tested under eccentric compression at several high-temperature conditions, and multiple mechanical indices of each column were measured, including the compressive strength, axial deformation and lateral displacement. On this basis, the author analyzed the impacts of the high-temperature conditions on the mechanical properties of the IPC columns. The analysis shows that the compressive strength of the IPC columns was enhanced with the increase of fire temperature, and started to decline after the temperature surpassed 400 ℃; the loss ratio, i.e. the loss of compressive strength, of each IPC column under eccentric load, was smaller than that of the corresponding ordinary concrete column, under any high-temperature condition. The research results confirm the excellent fire-resistance of the IPC, shedding new light on fire prevention and post-fire evaluation. Textiles et tissus à usages techniquesIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : As part of a ZIM project, the ITM developed an innovative metallization process with metallic silver for the wet-chemical finishing of films and filament yarns made of aromatic, high-temperature resistant, non-melting, flame-retardant and inert polyimide high-performance polymers. This is a significant progress in the metallization technology of inert aromatic textile materials and foils. The aim of the development was a new, industrially suitable wet-chemical process for the economical production of silver-coated, high-temperature resistant filament yarns and foils in reproducible quality. This goal was achieved in cooperation with the project partner Statex by using the company's conventional equipment and machines without any restrictions. Aromatic Kapton PI films from DuPont de Nemours GmbH, Neu-lsenburg/Germany, and PI filament yarns P84 from Evonik Fibers GmbH, Schôrfling/Austria, were used. Spectroscopie de réflectanceIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Surface wetting and spectrophotometric reflectance are important properties that are commonly used in the characterisation of the products arising in the surface coating-related industries. In this study, these two techniques were used as simple methods of monitoring the curing behavior of coatings of interest to the packaging sector. The fluid coatings were cured at different temperatures (160, 180, 200, 220, and 240°C) for 10 minutes.
In an extended study, the curing of the coatings was also carried out at 200°C for different time periods (5, 10 and 15 minutes, respectively). The results show that the techniques that were developed can be used as quality control procedures to monitor the extent to which the coatings are cured. Clear correlations were noted between instrumental measurements and visual assessments of the coatings. These techniques can be used to establish the consequences of employing variations in the curing conditions of the coatings because they lead to variation in molecular weight, structure development, film formation, cross-linking and interlocking in the coatings, as a consequence of increasing either the curing time or the curing temperature.Note de contenu : - MATERIALS AND METHODS : Materials - Coatings application and curing - Contact angle measurement and reflectance spectrophotometry

Stabilité thermiqueIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : In this paper, the model of a molecule of 1cgd collagen at high temperature was built using AMBER software. The software condition was set with 99 Amber force field, free boundary and Canonical ensemble (NVT), the time step as 1 femtosecond. The simulation indicates that the spatial conformation changes with rising temperature. The stability of collagen decreases and the spatial configuration deviation from the native conformation increases when the temperature rises. The structure of collagen I tends to be looser as the temperature increases and the contacts between protein molecules fall. The simulation also shows that, the more contacts between molecules, the better stability of the structure and the lower molecule activity. The decline of intermolecular hydrogen causes the decline of collagen I stability. In this paper, the thermal stability of natural leather was analyzed from the microscopic view which is helpful for understanding the changes of leather proteinis performance under high temperature.
