Textiles et tissus à usages techniques -- Propriétés mécaniquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The demand for small-diameter blood vessel substitutes has been increasing due to a shortage of autograft vessels and problems with thrombosis and intimal hyperplasia with synthetic grafts. In this study, hybrid small-diameter vascular grafts made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) and silk fibroin, which possessed a hybrid fibrous structure of an aligned inner layer and a random outer layer, were fabricated by the electrospinning technique using a customized striated collector that generated both aligned and random fibers simultaneously. A methanol post-treatment process induced the transition of fibroin protein conformation from the water-soluble, amorphous, and less ordered structures to the water-insoluble ?-sheet structures that possessed robust mechanical properties and relatively slow proteolytic degradation. The methanol post-treatment also created crimped fibers that mimicked the wavy structure of collagen fibers in natural blood vessels. Ultrafine nanofibers and nanowebs were found on the electrospun TPU/fibroin samples, which effectively increased the surface area for cell adhesion and migration. Cyclic circumferential tensile test results showed compatible mechanical properties for grafts made of a soft TPU/fibroin blend compared to human coronary arteries. In addition, cell culture tests with endothelial cells after 6 and 60 days of culture exhibited high cell viability and good biocompatibility of TPU/fibroin grafts, suggesting the potential of applying electrospun TPU/fibroin grafts in vascular tissue engineering. ThermogravimétrieIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Regenerated leather billet (semi-finished product) was prepared via hot pressing with chrome shaving and environment-friendly polymer waterborne polyurethanes (WPU) as the materials. The influence of WPU/chrome shaving ratios (w/w) on the performance of the billet was investigated by mechanical property test, dynamic thermal mechanical analysis, thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry and field-emission scanning electron microscopy. Furthermore, the ability of heat storage and temperature regulation was endowed for the regenerated leather by the addition of paraffin microcapsules. The results showed that a strong interface interaction could be achieved for the regenerated leather billet, which could be due to the formation of hydrogen bonds and the entanglement between WPU and leather shavings. In this way, WPU/leather shaving composites with favorable mechanical properties, thermal stability, ability of heat storage and temperature regulation were obtained.

ThermogravimétrieIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Biomass soybean oil-based polyol rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF) was modified and prepared by expandable graphite (EG). The effects of EG on the thermal stability and flame retardant properties of soybean oil-based polyol RPUFs were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis, pyrolysis kinetic analysis, conical calorimetry and flue gas toxicity analysis. The results showed that modified RPUF (RPUF-4) with EG content of 20 wt% had the highest initial and end temperatures, the highest activation energy E, the lowest Ds (17.6), and the highest light transmittance (73.6 %). At the same time, RPUF-4 had the lowest heat release rate (10.1 and 16.5 kW/m2), the lowest total heat release (1.5 and 2.1 MJ/m2), and the lowest average toxic gas emissions. The current study indicated that RPUF-4 had better thermal stability and flame retardant performance, which provided a useful reference for subsequent biomass flame retardant modified RPUFs. Stabilité thermiqueIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Rigid polyurethane foam (RPUF) has been fabricated and modified by hydrolyzed keratin to improve its flame retardancy and smoke suppression. Then, the limiting oxygen index (LOI), cone calorimeter (CONE), thermogravimetric analyzer and scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used to characterize the modified RPUFs. It was found that the LOI of the modified RPUFs increased with the presence of hydrolyzed keratin. In addition, the peak heat release rate (PHRR) and total heat release (THR) of the modified RPUF tended to decrease. The HRR of RPUF-HK5 reduced 28.8 kW/m2 compared with RPUF-0, and the THR of RPUF-HK5 was 0.74 MJ/m2 lower than that of RPUF-0. RPUF-HK5 had the most obvious smoke suppression effect. Compared with RPUF-0, the smoke density (Ds) and light transmittance (T) of RPUF-HK5 decreased by 8.88 and increased by 11.26%, respectively. The current research results showed that hydrolyzed keratin can improve the flame-retardant and smoke-suppression performances of RPUFs and that 5 wt% hydrolyzed keratin was the most suitable ratio for the modified RPUF. Stabilité thermiqueIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Rigid polyurethane foams (RPUFs) were prepared using biomass soybean oil-based polyol and ammonium polyphosphate (APP) as raw materials. The effects of APP on the thermal stability and combustion performance of soybean oil-based polyol-modified RPUFs were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis, pyrolysis kinetic analysis, limiting oxygen index (LOI) test, cone calorimetry (CONE), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and smoke density (Ds). The results showed that the modified RPUF with 20 wt% APP (RPUF-S3-20) had the lowest mass loss, the highest integrated programmed decomposition temperature and the highest activation energy. In addition, RPUF-S3-20 had the lowest Ds (30.9), the highest light transmittance (61.4 %), the lowest heat release rate (602.7 kW/m2, 506.8 MJ/m2, and 847.3 kW/m2) and the total heat release (18.3 MJ/m2, 21.4 MJ/m2, and 31.4 MJ/m2), which showed that RPUF-S3-20 had good thermal stability and flame retardant performance. The current results can provide an effective reference for the preparation of environmentally friendly RPUF by bio-based modification.
