Technologie médicaleIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : A traditional, family-run company with locations around the world and a high degree of in-house production, which developed within the medical technology sector from modest beginnings - these attributes characterize the globally renowned company B. Braun. The cleanroom production of, e. g., infusion sets and filter inserts often requires special injection molding solutions. Note de contenu : - The logical consequence is decentralized market support
- Tight overmolding of infusion containers
- Overmolding of cage geometries and molding connectors onto tubes
- Innovative strength spreads by word of mouth
- FIGURES : 1. The drip chambers are conveyed through a buffer station during assembly on the green workpiece carriers - 2.The drip chambers of the infusion sets are fully automatically overmolded with the characteristic green rings. In a downstream step, the finished drip chambers are connected to the infusion tubes and packaged - 3. For special solutions such as the manufacture of tubes for infusion therapy, Arburg has integrated the injection technology at B. Braun into the mnaufacturing cell - 4. Textiles et tissus à usages techniquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Otto Klumpp GmbH has for many years processed, for example, highly transparent PC and high-performance plastics such as PPSU into sophisticated medical products. Since cleanliness and hygiene are essential for implants or blood-carrying systems, injection molding production and parts assembly are performed in the cleanroom. DLC-coated components also play an important role in in-house mold production. Note de contenu : - Just no sharp edges
- Filter fabrics are handled with great precision
- A diabolic material
- Injection molding with extreme requirements on purity and precision
- Individual partial automation in mold making
- Ground to an undersize before DLC coating
- FIGURES : 1. For filter, Otto Klumpp uses resilient fabrics and stainless steels or alloys (Monel). The minimum mesh size for metal meshes is aprox. 5µm, for plastic meshes, it is approx. 1µm a thousandth of a millimeter - 2. The 40mm-long injection needles with a diameter of 1.6 mm must be filled without core deflection - 3. An autotransfusion reservoir significantly reduces the amount of donated blood required, and thus reduces the risk of AIDS or hepatis. Directl after injection molding, the scale is labeled with an accuracy of 0.1 mm - 4. In the cell, a six-arm robot grasps a tubular fabric and transfers it to a cassette system with conical core - 5. When the mold incorporates a special technical solution, Otto Klumpp Keeps, the injection mold production in house. Here, an 8-cavity mold (with DLC coated ejectors) for an handle sleeve. With the illustrated un-screwing spindle unit, the internal thread of the dental product is demolded in the closed mold - 6. In many mold, Otto Klumpp uses DLC-coated ejectors. Microsections of parts, printed with varying temperature control via FFF, emphasize the influences of processing parameters on part quality. Air inclusions between the players reduce mechanical properties in the direction in which the layers were built - 3. Porous lattice structure supporting bone ingrowth at defined locations - 4. Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Coextrusion can be used to manufacture a catheter tube of thermoplastic polyurethane with active ingredients incorporated into the thin outer layer. RhéologieIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The properties of polyvinyl chloride are adjusted using plasticizers for many applications. Phthalate-free plasticizers can keep pace here with conventional versions containing phthalates in many technical fields. This article demonstrates that based on a comparative study. Note de contenu : - Hardness and volatility
- Fogging behavior and viscosity
- Polymerization and processing
- FIGURES : 1. The comparison of the shore A hardness shows that PETV is most efficient compared to the other test candidates - 2. Volatility of the softeners. Since the additives have a significant influence on the characteristics of PVC, their amount should remain constant during the entire lifespan of the material - 3. Fogging test according to DIN 75201-A on an automotive film (700g/m2, 75 phr). The reflectometer value was determined on a glass plate. Here the phthalate-free plasticizer trioctyl trimellitate (TOTM) was tested in addition - 4. The viscosity comparison shows that the softener DINCH keeps the plastisol constant over a long period of time, and is therefore well suited for delayed processing - 5. The rheology of the three test candidates shows that plastisol formulation with PETV proceeds more quickly and at lower temperatures - 6. The absorption diagram shows the time in which phthalate-free plasticizers are absorbed in suspension PVC
