AND METHODS : Materials - Hair treatments - Determination of UV filters adsorption on hair surface - UV exposure - Protein degradation - Lipid peroxidation measurements - Tryptophan decomposition - Statistics analysis

Spectrométrie de masseIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The lipid composition of human skin is essential for its function. However, the simultaneous quantification of a wide range of stratum corneum and sebaceous lipids is not trivial. We developed and validated a quantitative high-throughput shotgun mass spectrometry-based platform for lipid analysis of tape-stripped skin samples. Lipotype analyses also other types of skin samples, from monolayers to 3D models. It is now easy to investigate how the healthy skin lipidome is composed, how it changes in diseases or upon intervention with a drug or a cosmetic product. This lipidomic data can be used for cosmetic claim support, topical drug development and personalised cosmetics. More details about this method and its application can be found in: Sadowskii T. et al. TannageIndex. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : Public sewage treatment authorities are often bath to accept tannery effluents because they are apprehensive either about the effects of specific components, e.g. heavy metals and sulphides on their processes, or of the high COD to BOD ratios which have been cited as indicating non-biodegradability. Real resistance to treatability is even more relevant to onsite biological treatment by the tannery.
The work described below was undertaken to investigate both of these aspects. Laboratory trials were carried out, using various techniques, to examine the inherent treatability of a number of tanning materials, dyestuffs and other chemicals widely used in tannery processes. Later, one of the techniques was employed in a study of the treatment of a mixed effluent, the work subsequently being extended to pilot plant operation in a tannery.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL TECHNIQUES : Laboratory scale activated sludge plants (ASP) - Respirometry
