Tungstate de césiumIndex. décimale : 677 Textiles Résumé : Sewing and embroidery yarns containing NIR-absorbing nanopigments as safety markers based on lanthanum hexaboride and cesium tungstate nanoparticles were developed. Homogeneous dispersion of the nanopigments within polyethylene terephthalate (PET) yarns was achieved by appropriate surface modification of the particles. The nanopigments were added in masterbatches to the PET melt for fabrication of partially oriented yarns (POY). These were processed further by drawing and twisting for sewing and embroidery yarns. The safety marking can be detected by NIR-irradiation and visualized by thermal imaging. More detailed analysis of the pigment composition and fiber structure, e.g. by electron microscopy combined with EDX element analysis allows unambiguous verification of the genuineness.
