Procédés de fabricationIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : With the development of global industry and the increase of population, the shortage of freshwater resources has become a serious global challenge to the sustainable development of human society, prompting in-depth research on advanced water-harvesting technologies. However, the existing methods have many defects, such as easy pollution, insufficient water transportation speed, low water collection efficiency, complex preparation process, expensive raw materials, and so on. Here, inspired by natural organisms, such as beetles and cactus thorns, a new patterned surface combining a superamphiphobic region and a triangular fluorosurfactant (capstone FS50)-modified hydrophilic region has been designed for efficient and rapid water collection and condensation. The superamphiphobic part has an efficient water transmission capacity. On the one hand, owing to a good hydrophilic property, the FS50-modified part efficiently collects fog droplets that are further condensed into much larger water droplets. On the other hand, many large water drops condensed on the superamphiphobic region easily roll onto the hydrophilic FS50-modified surface, and form much larger droplets when combined with the original ones. The patterned surface achieves a very large water collection rate (WCR) of 20.6 mg min−1 cm−2, which is much larger than others reported in previous papers, while it is 1.5 and 1.3 times than that of single superamphiphobic and FS50-modified surfaces. Since both the patterns show superior oil repellency, it presents good resistance to organic pollution, resulting in very superior chemical stability and recyclability. Even after water collection for 60 cycles, the patterned surface can still reach a WCR value of 18 mg min−1 cm−2. The patterned surfaces also collect acid fog, alkali fog, and hot water fog when their WCR values are 20.1, 19.8, and 20.5 mg min−1 cm−2, respectively. This work has found a new patterned superoleophobic surface for efficient water collection, which achieves robust mechanical durability and chemical stability. C’est un métal pauvre, malléable, de couleur argent, qui est remarquable pour sa résistance à l’oxydation13 et sa faible densité. C'est le métal le plus abondant de l'écorce terrestre et le troisième élément le plus abondant après l'oxygène et le silicium ; il représente en moyenne 8 % de la masse des matériaux de la surface solide de notre planète. L'aluminium est trop réactif pour exister à l'état natif dans le milieu naturel : on le trouve au contraire sous forme combinée dans plus de 270 minéraux différents, son minerai principal étant la bauxite, où il est présent sous forme d’oxyde hydraté dont on extrait l’alumine. Il peut aussi être extrait de la néphéline, de la leucite, de la sillimanite, de l'andalousite et de la muscovite.
L'aluminium métallique est très oxydable, mais est immédiatement passivé par une fine couche d'alumine Al2O3 imperméable de quelques micromètres d'épaisseur qui protège la masse métallique de la corrosion. On parle de protection cinétique, par opposition à une protection thermodynamique, car l’aluminium reste en tout état de cause très sensible à l'oxydation. Cette résistance à la corrosion et sa remarquable légèreté en ont fait un matériau très utilisé industriellement.
L'aluminium est un produit industriel important, sous forme pure ou alliée, notamment dans l'aéronautique, les transports et la construction. Sa nature réactive en fait également un catalyseur et un additif dans l'industrie chimique ; il est ainsi utilisé pour accroître la puissance explosive du nitrate d'ammonium.

Hierarchical micro/nanoscale morphology of Al surfaces was formed with CuCl2 etching followed by hot water treatment. After derivatization of fluoroalkylphosphonic acid (C10F21C2H4PO(OH)2, FPA) monolayer, desirable superamphiphobicity was achieved. It was found that the FPA/Al surfaces maintained superamphiphobic under the impinging by SiC flow with a falling height of 30 cm, suggesting good mechanical durability. Wettability measurement showed that the FPA self-assembled monolayer remained integrated up to 300°C, above which damage was observed. The approach reported in this paper can be readily integrated into product lines for wide variety of applications. StatistiqueIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : - OBJECTIF : La texture des cheveux, l'apparence, et la couleur jouent un rôle important dans la communication sociale et professionnelle et le maintien d'un aspect global. L'étude actuelle a été spécialement conçue pour l'évaluation morphologique des dommages aux cheveux causés à la population de Karachi à cause de facteurs naturels et des soins cosmétiques en utilisant la microscopie électronique à balayage (MEB).
- METHODES : Des échantillons de cheveux ont été soumis à divers traitements cosmétiques artificiels (redressement à chaud, blanchiment, coloration synthétique et coloration au Henna), tandis que les échantillons pour l'étude des effets des facteurs naturels (variation de sexe, l'âge et la pigmentation) ont été laissés non traités. L'évaluation morphologique a été réalisée par MEB. Les résultats obtenus ont été analysés statistiquement en utilisant les logiciels minitab-16 et spss-18.
- RESULTATS : Les images MEB ont révélé un nombre plus faible de cuticuls chez les hommes que chez les femmes du même âge alors que la taille des cuticules a été trouvée être plus grand chez les hommes que chez les femmes. L'indice moyen de cheveux blancs était supérieur à celui des cheveux noirs de la même tête car ils sont d'origine relativement récent. La méthode de Tukey a révélé que parmi les traitements cosmétiques, leblanchiment et l'henné synthétique ont causé la plupart des dommages aux cheveux.
- CONCLUSION : L'évaluation statistique des résultats obtenus par l'analyse MEB a révélé que les cheveux humains montrent une variation morphologique par rapport à l'âge, au sexe, à la pigmentation des cheveux, et aux traitements chimiques et physiques. Les personnes qui optent pour des traitements cosmétiques peuvent visualiser clairement l'étendue des dommages aux cheveux que ceux-ci peuvent causer à long terme.Note de contenu : - MATERIALS AND METHODS : Sample collection - Cosmetic treatments of hairs - Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis - Statistical analysis

These can be distinguished from conventional fibers by a non-circular cross-section. The production of synthetic fibers is made considerably more difficult by the swelling of the polymer melt at the nozzle outlet. As a result, the fiber cross-section diverges from the shaping capillary cross-section. The socalled shape factor is used to characterize the resulting fiber cross-section. In this paper the shape factor criteria overhang-factor (Fo) and circle-factor (Fc) were defined. From these independent criteria a geometry independent shape factor (FITita) can be derived. The development of a semi-automated program enables the evaluation of larger sample sizes in a negligible amount of time and reduces the subjective influence. Test d'immersionIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : To address the problem of rapid corrosion of magnesium (Mg) alloys, a biodegradable polymer film of polycaprolactone (PCL) with KH550 as silane coupling agent (SCA) was coated on Mg substrate. The effect of the coating was analyzed using electrochemical tests (potentiodynamic polarization curves and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy) and immersion tests (hydrogen evaluation tests and scratch tests). The electrochemical tests showed that the corrosion resistance was extremely improved (by nearly two orders for icorr and 1.04 V for Ecorr), and the immersion tests illustrated that the connection between PCL and Mg substrate was enhanced as well (especially in scratch tests), thus indicating significant improvement of the corrosion resistance of SCA-pretreated PCL polymer samples. In summary, SCA-pretreated PCL is a promising coating to decrease the degradation behavior of Mg substrate.
