Stabilité thermiqueIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The influence of nano-boron nitride (BN) with a multilayered structure on the anti-aging property of fire-resistive coatings was studied. After accelerated weathering for 20 days, the thermal stabilities and fire protection of the coating without nano-BN were significantly decreased, but the coating modified by nano-BN still maintained excellent intumescent effect and fire protection. The results indicated that nano-BN could improve the anti-aging property of the coatings remarkably. FTIR and XPS characterizations suggested that nano-BN with a multilayered structure could prevent the migration behavior of the hydrophilic fire-retardant additives and keep the fixed ratio of those additives in the coating. TGA results demonstrated that nano-BN could effectively enhance the thermal stabilities of the aged coatings and improve the anti-oxidation property of the char layers formed by the coatings. XRD and EDS results proved that the anti-oxidation of the aged coatings under high temperature could be enhanced effectively after adding nano-BN. SEM observations illustrated that nano-BN addition was beneficial to the improvement of the foam structure of the aged coating. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL : 1. Materials - 2. ThixotropieIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Hydrophobically modified ethoxylated urethane (HEUR) with different structures was synthesized and confirmed by gel permeation chromatography, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance (1H NMR). We propose the relationship between the temperature insensitivity model and the thickening mechanism of HEUR/latex/Fe2O3/Zn3(PO4)2/BaSO4 suspensions. Meanwhile, the temperature insensitivity of HEUR/C suspensions is the result of two main associations: intermolecular interactions bridging the hydrophobic tails of HEURs and the hydrophobic groups tightly adsorbing onto the latex particle surfaces. A smaller ratio of viscosity (Rv) at 1 s−1 from the steady state condition indicates the better temperature insensitivity of viscosity. The higher degree of crystallinity and rheological activation energy corresponds to a great extent with better temperature insensitivity due to stronger association. The temperature insensitivity is consistent with the longer hydrophobic chain, which was proven by hysteresis tests and oscillatory shear measurements. The storage stability was enhanced in the lockstep with a hydrophobic length of HEUR, which is consistent with the rougher surfaces of HEUR/C films. As an appealing method, the results are meaningful and instructive for coating storage and application. Résistance thermiqueIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Polyamide - A modified polyamide 6, which is super-tough at extremely low temperatures, enables dramatic weight and appreciable cost savings to be achieved in the manufacture of high-pressure tanks for natural gas-powered vehicles. Composite-reinforced tanks with inliners produced from this material have already successfully demonstrated their performance in field trials and are shortly to be introduced in automotive production lines.
