Polymères hautes performancesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : High-Performance Plastics - They have always been the specialists for tough cases. Their starring role as metal substitutes in all kinds of industries, mostly in the automotive field, continues unbroken. But even when the going gets rough, material is subject to extreme loads, or fail-safe performance in continuous operation is essential, no one can ignore them. For example, it is expected to play an important role in the energy transition. However, the production and use of hydrogen requires materials that are resistant to chemicals, mechanical stress and ion leaching. Special PPS compounds meet these requirements. Titre : Megatrends drive material innovations : Advances and developments in thermoplastic polymers at K2016 Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Nadine Warkotsch, Auteur Année de publication : 2016 Article en page(s) : p. 34-37 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Halogènes VIIA.

Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Current materials and material concepts are reflecting what the plastics processing industry needs: complete solutions for significantly lighter vehicles, better materials for extreme application conditions across all industry sectors, a wider product range, and more additively manufactured plastics. Textiles et tissus à usages techniquesIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : As part of a ZIM project, the ITM developed an innovative metallization process with metallic silver for the wet-chemical finishing of films and filament yarns made of aromatic, high-temperà ture resistant, non-melting, flame-retardant and inert polyimide high-performance pôlymers. This is a significant progress in the metallization technology of inert aromatic textile materials and foils. The aim of the development was a new, industrially suitable wet-chemical process for the economical production of silver-coated, high-temperature resistant filament yarns and foils in reproducible quality. This goal was achieved in cooperation with the project partner Statex by using the company's conventional equipment and machines without any restrictions. Aromatic Kapton PI films from DuPont de Nemours GmbH, Neu-lsenburg/Germany, and PI filament yarns P84 from Evonik Fibers GmbH, Schôrfling/Austria, were used.
