Table I provides a general guide to the comparative strengths and weaknesses of both hot melt and water-based PSAs. To easily compare the technologies, consider the parameters of formulating, compounding, coating techniques and final PS properties. Note de contenu : - Basic definitions

Silicones -- Emploi en cosmétologieIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Cationic polymers and silicone oils are key ingredients in conditioning shampoo. The conditioning performance reflects the distribution of the cationic polymers and silicone oils deposited along the hair fibre through coacervation during the shampoo rinsing stage. Many parameters, such as polymer types, molecular weight, cationic charges density, type of silicone emulsion and hair surface damage level, will affect the deposition and conditioning performance. In this study, we have systematically explored the coacervate formation, silicone deposition, and hair wet combing force reduction of the shampoo samples with three cationic polymers (polyquaternium-10, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride and a mixture of GHPTC and acryamidopropyltrimonium chloride/acrylamide copolymer) and three silicone emulsions (small-particle silicone, large particle silicone and amodimethicone) on Asian undamaged and bleached hair. The mechanism for the difference in deposition and conditioning performance among the samples are discussed and interpreted. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTS : 1. Hair samples - 2.

However, the effect of graphene as a potential additive for anticorrosive organic coatings is not widely studied. In this work, low levels of graphene nanosheets, 0.5 and 1 wt%, were added to an additive-free waterborne epoxy resin applied to Al2024-T3 aluminum alloy samples. The presence of graphene did not affect the polymerization process of the resin and the adhesion at coating/substrate interface, as demonstrated by experimental results, while showing a slight effect on coatings wettability. Electrochemical analysis revealed an improvement of the protective properties of the coating that could be assigned to a slow absorption rate of the electrolytes in the polymeric matrix and a lesser amount of absorbed water than the unloaded film. Groupement carboxyle

It was compared to a conventional high molecular weight polyurethane dispersion in films cured with melamine-formaldehyde resins. Stress-strain studies and solvent swelling experiments were used to characterize network formation and determine crosslink density. The morphology of the films prepared from the two types of polyurethanes were different, and coatings performance advantages were found with the low molecular weight polyurethane dispersion. Surface analysis by FTIR ATR indicates a more uniform distribution of melamine crosslinker in the cured low molecular weight polyurethane coating.
