This insulating property is highly desirable for biofluids-contacting biosensors. Three PU-based insulator ink formulations were made with different levels of ethylene glycol and carboxymethylcellulose additives to improve ink volatility, viscosity, and dispersion properties. Based on the resultant ink properties important to printing, one of these formulations was selected for further evaluation. The effects of the type and extent of surface conditioning involving UV–O3 and/or thermal treatments on print quality and completed insulator functionality are discussed. Print quality is assessed by visual and profilometry measurement. Note de contenu : - PET-base substrate modification to optimize surface energy

Index. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : PET yarns are increasing their wide range of applications due to their very good chemical, physical and commercial properties such as dimensional stability, little need of downstream processes, high degree of crease resistance, good bulk elasticity, warm handle, high performance/price ratio and easy supply.
PET yarn also provides a wide range of filament shape and combination filament shape and combination filament shapes within a yarn to provide desired charactéristics. These features enable PET yarn to adapt quickly and inexpensively to changes in the market. Textured PET yarns are dominating the textile market. In the texturing process a flat synthetic multifilament yarn is given spun yarnlike characteristics. It is the modifying of continuous filament yarn to increase bulkiness, cover, resilience, crimp, stretch, dull view, abrasion resistance, warmth insulation, moisture absorption. The aim is to gain similar view and feeling like natural fibers.Note de contenu : - Cotton-like yarn
