The crystalline behavior and hard elasticity of precursor hollow fibers were studied by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), elastic recovery and strain-stress curves. The structure and properties of membranes were investigated in detail by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical microscopy, pure water flux, and so on. The results showed that membranes with excellent structure and properties can be obtained at a spin-draw rate of 350 m/min and a stretching ratio of 200 %. The evolution of crystal structure was explored during the annealing and stretching processes by two-dimensional small-angle X-ray scattering (2D-SAXS). Shish-kebab structure was obtained during annealing for hollow fibers at a spin-draw rate of 350 m/min. The crystalline lamellae were destroyed and micropores were formed during the fabrication of membranes by stretching. A wholly aromatic LCP having a low melting point, namely a AL-7000 copolyester was used, because it also uses a compatibilizer with a low decomposition temperature. As the amount of 2,2′-Bis(2-oxazoline) increased, the dispersibility of the LCP improved and the tensile properties were improved, but when it was added in excess, a loss in function was observed. In particular, when 0.5 wt% of 2,2′-Bis(2-oxazoline) were added, the tensile strength and elastic modulus were the highest, and cohesive fracture (fracture within the matrix, not at the PP/LCP interface) was observed in the scanning electron microscope image.

Structures multicouchesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : This work studies the effects of uniaxial stretching on molecular orientation, crystallinity, crystallography and oxygen permeability of high barrier multilayer films based on EVOH barrier layer. Film samples were prepared using two different blow-up ratios (BUR) of 1 and 3. Uniaxial stretching was applied at 100°C using a tensile machine equipped with an environmental chamber. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy was used to examine the molecular orientation in the EVOH layer before and after stretching and confirmed a considerable increase in the molecular orientation in the EVOH layer. Dynamic scanning calorimetry (DSC) and wide-angle X-ray diffraction (XRD) results point to the perfection of EVOH crystal structure by applying uniaxial stretching at high temperatures. Oxygen permeability results showed a considerable 25% decrease after stretching of the sample with lower BUR while a significant 80% reduction in oxygen permeability was observed for the sample prepared at higher BUR. The mechanism involved in increasing oxygen permeability due to the uniaxial stretching at high temperature is discussed in detail. The influences of irradiation dose on the properties of treated UHMWPE fibers were measured. The results show that as the irradiation dose increased, the gel content first rose and then declined; the breaking strength decreased continuously ; the elongation at break increased at first and then decreased ; and the creep rate originally fell and then rose, finally declining stowly. The melting point and crystallinity decreased slightly. Note de contenu : - Materials and chemicals

It was found that although the unique axial periodic (d periodicity) structure of collagen fibrils and orderly arrangement of collagen molecule did not change obviously alter the introduction of PAA, the aggregation behaviour of collagen fibres was greatly influenced. With increasing concentration of PAA, the order of intermolecular lateral packing decreased, the shrinkage of the leather lessened [from changes in surface morphology observed by SEM] and the dry heat stability of collagen fibre declined due to a decrease in the orderly degree of collagen fibre aggregation.
