Régénération (biologie)Index. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The regular use of alcohol-based gels or cleansing products is usually well-tolerated, but repeated exposure to water and other chemical agents can induce several pathophysiologic changes, such as epidermal barrier disruption, keratinocyte impairment, the subsequent release of proinflammatory cytokines, the activation of the skin’s immune system and delayed-type hypersensitivity reactions. Adverse dermatologic effects, such as excessive skin dryness, skin irritation or even contact dermatitis, can occur, especially in individuals with a history of atopic dermatitis Note de contenu : - Rancimat test

Taille des poresIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Skin is a living organ with ever-changing and sometimes conflicting needs. To meet the expectations of today's consumers, skin care products must harness the skin's own synergies, responding flexibly to daily changes in skin condition. Dual action products offer a host of options to meet these expectations, but the duality claim must be logical, credible and scientifically substantiated. At the same time, the demand for natural, ethically sourced and environmentally friendly ingredients is growing.
Inspired by fermented Asian food DSM's Beauactive® is a naturally derived, highly pure, potent hydroxystearic acid that provides two distinct benefits : it visibly reduces both conspicuous facial pores and age spots. Furthermore, it fulfills both DSM's high standards on sustainability and the principles of Green Chemistry and embraces the latest trend for transformational beauty products, combining science with a fun, new sensory experience for consumers.Note de contenu : - What consumers want: products that do more

Note de contenu : - MATERIALS AND METHODS : Adenosine-loaded DMN patch and cream fabrication - DMN morphology and penetration of Ad-DMN patches into pig cadaver skin - Skin wrinkle measurement through three-dimensional imaging - Dermal density measurement using ultrasonic imaging - Skin elasticity measurement using the absorption method - Skin hydration measurement using capacitance - Clinical efficacy test of adenosine-loaded DMNs patch and cream - Skin sensitization and irritation test - Statictical analysis

solvantsIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The integration of colloid and cosmetic science has provided a sound basis on which to carry out true optimisation of consumer acceptable sunscreen formulations based upon particulate Ti02 which is of particular benefit in daily skin care formulation. Adsorption isotherms, dispersant demand and solids loading determinations enabled a model to be developed which related the rheology, stability and maximum efficacy of the dispersions to the structure of the adsorbed layer.
It was found that both dispersion stability and dispersion rheology depended upon adsorbed amount Γ and steric layer thickness δ (which in turn depends on oligomer molecular weight Mn and solvency χ) but that in order to optimise formulation, the adsorption strength χ, must also be considered. The nature of interaction between particles, dispersant, emulsifiers and thickeners must be considered with regard to competitive adsorption and/or interfacial stability if a formulation is to deliver its required protection when spread on the skin.Note de contenu : - Steric stabilisation

Produits antisolairesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Beyond UV radiation, sun emits visible (VIS) and infrared (IR) light that impair the skin barrier by causing oxidative stress leading to photoaging. Modern cosmetics need adequate solutions for an extended solar protection to fight against the harmful impact of the complete range of radiation (UV, VIS and IR) due to an over exposure. In this study, we focus on the additional performance of UV filter grade titanium dioxide in high energy visible light (HEVL) and IR-A light investigated by photometric measurements in vitro on different substrates. This paper provides information on types of titanium dioxides that are suitable to optimize your formulation and provide advanced light protection with excellent results in HEVL and IR-A ranges.
