Matériaux céramiquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : For several decades now, fibre-reinforced composites have established themselves as a lightweight, easily mouldable alternative to metallic designs. Especially when used in prepreg form, fibre-reinforced composites combine repeatable quality, remarkable stiffness-to-weight ratios and a high degree of design freedom with highly cost-effective tooling, which makes them a lear choice for performance-oriented, small-series production industries such as aircraft, space technology and high-end cars. TubesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The oil & gaz exploration and production sector has been expanding rapidly in India and should attract enormous capital investment in future. As a more eco-friendly and cost-effective mode of transportation, composite pipelines are receiving growing attention. Most of them are buried, making them safe, efficient, and largely unseen. As a result, given the large-scale construction and development activities arising from the accelerated growth of the infrastructure industry, the pipes and pipe fittings sector is certain to record significant expansion. Index. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Within the framework of the IGF research project (21004 BR/1), material concepts based on 2 yarn formation technologies were realized at the ITM and carbon fiber/aramid /polyamide 6 (CF /AR/PA 6) and recycled carbon fiber/recycled aramid /polyamide 6 (rCF/rAR/PA 6) hybrid yarns for thermo-plastic composites meeting requirements with very good, scalable stiffness, strength, crash and im¬pact property combinations were produced. The influence of carding, draw frame and roving frame (MK1) and air texturing unit (MK2) parameters and fiber volume fractions on the mechanical pro¬perties were analyzed to develop requirements-based and defined engineered yarns and composites based on them. The investigated yarn formation technologies complement or partly compete with each other, but thereby also represent a broad technology spectrum. This generates a broad effect for the application of the results for product development in numerous German small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and often on a few technologies specialized SMEs for textile technology.
