LogicielsIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The International standard defines leather thickness to be value recorded 5 seconds after the start of the measurement under a constant pressure of 500g/cm2. We have developed specialized computer software to achieve the 5-second delay and constant pressure thus avoiding human errors in practice. Our software can accurately determine the starting time of the measurement and lock the valid data point automatically. By using the software in our digital leather thickness measuring device with independent intellectual property rights, we are able to measure the leather thickness in a completely automatic fashion for the first time. We report satisfactory experiment results. Furthermore, our device is portable and can be used in any production situation. Note de contenu : - RESEARCH BACKGROUND

SpectrophotomètresIndex. décimale : 535.6 Couleur Résumé : In many industries, defined colors are not only an important feature of the product, but also a growing challenge. Increasing demands on the appearance quality must be implemented more and more frequently and efficiently across global production networks. There, physical standards may enhance quality, but the digital processing and communication of color data is more efficient. Note de contenu : - Digital communication of standards
- The path to digital color communication
- Profiling the spectrophotometers
- Improved agreement between instruments from different manufacturers
- Fig. 1. On the left, the typical behavior of measuring instruments made by different manufacturers as well as by the same one is displayed. In each case, the absolute values from different spec-trophotometers form a characteristic cluster. On the right, the data subsequent to profiling is shown.
- Fig. 2. A common color tolerance for products for car interiors (outside, dE00 = 0.50) as well as the IMA (Inside) required for digital communication of standards. If mean and maximum deviations towards the reference instrument are kept, the system error corresponds to the system error when physical standards are used - minus the disavantages.
- Fig. 3. The absolute agreement dE00 between color differences of RAL samples (PP) prior and subsequent to profiling. The required value of dE00 = 0.10 was achieved by the Ci7860 subsequent to profiling.
- Fig. 4. User interface of CAPQ software. All relevant information is included.
- Table 1. The results show an improvement of the IMA, meeting the required values. In particular, the maximum deviations were clearly reduced. Thus, the data situation allows digital communication. However, the samples must be described as ideal, i.e., opaque without differences in structure or gloss.En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_z-HpOiQrt7y6YXWUMSg8onfWzu9QnRg/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=30986

Procédés de fabricationIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Thermoplastic tapes are expected to achieve great things, namely to shape the next generation of thermoplastic composites. This calls for highly accurate tape stacking. At the same time, tape processing must not ‧become so complex that it becomes uneconomical. Engel contributes this technology to achieve a breakthrough by combining high-precision control software with camera technology in tape stacking. Note de contenu : - Higher structural performance
- Stacking accuracy determines quality
- The influence of gap and overlap
- Taking correction values into account for each stacking position
- High performance in real time
- Pck-and-place for hybrid stacks too
- Glas fibers and carbon fibers for different load ranges

- Fig. 2 : Flexural beidning test with tape blanks featuring deliberately incorporated defects : gaps and overlaps each reduce the impact strength compared with the blank produced with optimal butt alignment
- Fig. 3 : Search fields for determining edge runs : measurements are taken at 25 positions to join the points together by means of a line of best fit
- Fig. 4 : The corner position results from the detemrined edge runs. This method is much more accurate than direct optical measurement because tapes do not always have sharp corners

Simulation par ordinateurIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Activities such as conversion, setup, start-up and process optimization usually require plastics processors to have comprehensive specialist knowledge. But how can cost-effective, high-quality injection molding production be ensured in times of a shortage of skilled workers and increasingly demanding materials? Arburg is working intensively on the topics of artificial intelligence (AI) and federated learning – with the aim that AI-based systems learn correlations themselves and actively readjust processes in order to optimize the yield and quality of injection molded parts in series production.
