Soja et constituantsIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : A multitude of highly efficient natural active ingredients is now available for all kinds of dermocosmetic applications. There are raw materials for stimulating collagen and elastin formation to nuriture and regenerate the skin after injury and overstretching. Aggressive environmental stresses cause damage to skin tells and premature ageing. Innovative test systems can help identify substances that repair damage caused by pollutants and protect the skin against environmental damage.
Ecocert-compliant soy polymers are produced from soybean proteins in a sustainable, GMO-free production process that gives them a special peptide architecture to make them highly functional. They stand out for excellent dispersion, spread and film-forming performance. These properties all work to increase the sun protection factor of sunscreen products. Consumers expect a cooling action from refreshing shower gels and body lotions. The active ingredient Menthyl PCA consists of L-menthol and L-pyrrolidone carboxylic acid. As the ester splits on the skin, the cooling L-menthol and moisturising PCA are slowly released. If the objective is to reduce unpleasant odours, a derivative of citronella ail is ideal. While the citronella oil masks odours, the added dimethylacrylic acid methyl ester actively oxidises or reduces certain odorous substances.
Oily gels are as much a trend as ever in cosmetics. Natural-cosmetic-compliant thickeners containing sucrose laurate or sucrose myristate, among other things, can be used to produce highly viscous, self-emulsifying oily gels that contribute positively towards skin hydration.
Advertising daims of "pixel by pixel" perfect skin, prompted by new high-definition TVs and digital photography, have found their way onto cosmetic packaging. Consumers can perform their own skin analyses quickly and easily by taking "selfies" and using special apps. Pigments and active ingredients with immediate wrinkle-filling effects offer the promise of perfect skin.Note de contenu : - Skin regeneration for stretchmarks and scars

Soins de beautéIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : All essential oils are produced from plants. The oils we extract have been created by the plant so that it can protect itself from degradation by external elements such as sunlight, pollution, pests and insects that might harm it.
As a plant or tree is rooted and cannot move away from harm they have to adapt very quickly to defend themselves with the only weapon they have — their oils.
Whether the oils create an odour to repel unwanted pests, are an anti-microbial to kill a fungus, or act as a shield to protect the plant from pollution, the oils contain many essentiel properties to keep the plant alive and healthy. Many of these properties are also beneficial to humans and can be used to protect, cleanse and enhance the natural beauty of our skin.
The oil content of seed ails, or carrier oils as they are also known, nourishes the new plant growing from the seed. As a result, these oils contain all the essential fatty acids to make the new shoot grow strong and healthy. These fatty acids are also essential for our skin, hair, nails and general health. Each different seed contains different levels of these omega oils (fatty acids) and can be used for specific benefits, such as strengthening hair and nails, moisturising skin and reducing lines and wrinkles.Note de contenu : - Production and extraction

Visage -- Soins et hygièneIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : According to Euromonitor the global market for male grooming products is projected to exceed a value of US$60 billion by 2020, significant growth from its current level of $47 billion. The four largest markets are (in order of increasing size) Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America and Western Europe. Asia Pacific is the fastest growing territory benefiting from a significant contribution from South Korea, a country where over 35% of males in their twenties use moisturiser and where the use of BB and CC creams is already mainstream (see the lope brand Air Cushion products for men). Despite the widespread trend for facial hair, which has had obvious effects on the shaving market, sales for male toiletries, in particular facial skin care, have seen impressive growth in this sector. More mature males, many with a high level of disposable income, have begun to embrace the use of personal care products, driven by the rise of well-groomed celebrities and a relaxing of traditional macho attitudes to product use. Millennial males are already skin care savvy and are becoming a demanding audience for innovation in products and also for a male twist on colour cosmetics, due in part to the blogger and Youtuber society.
Despite this continued growth the male market only accounts for around 11% of total beauty sales, indicating there is still some work to be done on increasing the number of males who are engaging with our industry. Here we round up some of the latest product launches for men, needs and trends for the market and how future trends will influence what the product offer will look like going forward.Note de contenu : - Sensibility
