Textiles et tissus -- FinitionIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : The PET staple fiber manufacturing sector needs to tackle the water consumption issues for its future sustainability, as it is one of the most water demanding sectors in the textile industry. This paper describes a new spin finish oil with 2 general technical characteristics achieving the benefits of reducing water use, by suppressing the generation of foam in the fiber line as well as by easing the process of wastewater treatment. Of course, this new spin finish oil maintains the same very good performance as found in other products, in terms of fiber manufacturability and spinning mill processability. Polyéthylène téréphtalateIndex. décimale : 677.4 Textiles artificiels Résumé : Polyester yarn is heat-set during the production process in order to impact structural stability. It has wide impact on the tensile and elongate properties of textured yarn. The main aim of this research is to develop a textured yarn which will be considered for weaving applications as used for the weaving of fancy garment fabric. Here 2 heaters are specifically used; a standard 1.6 m primary heater and 1.25 m secondary heater with 12 and 24 ends respectively. Crystallization and crystallite melting temperatures from differential thermal analysis (DTA) and colorimetric determinations of initial rates of dyeing are also measured to provide additional data for interpreting the results, and tensile properties of the yarns are reported as well.
