Vaisselle -- NettoyageIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Since the EU regulation on phosphorus limitation in automatic dishwashing detergents (ADWDs) entered into force in January 2017, sodium citrates have become a well-established alternative to phosphates as environmentally friendly builders for ADWDs. An innovative alternative to the commonly used sodium citrate dihydrate (TSC) is the anhydrous form of sodium citrate (ISA) which has an active content of 100%. TSA has excellent tableting properties and can be used as a carrier for liquid active substances due to its porous structure. In that regard, surfactants are of special interest because they are often liquid or waxy and therefore represent a particular challenge in dry formulations (e.g. tablets). An advantageous combination of the two active substances can be achieved by loading TSA with surfactants. Loading TSA with surfactants shows that free-flowing TSA-surfactant powder can be produced. This loading step allows for easy handling of raw materials and, in the final application, excellent tablet properties.I Note de contenu : - INTRODUCTION : Automatic diswashing detergents - Trisodium citrate anhydrous - Surfactant-loaded-citrate

SurfactantsIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : On 2nd December 2016, the Annual General Meeting of the Raw Materials Specialist Group (former West Regional Group) took place in Gütersloh under the leadership of the group's Chairman, Kai Mann (Brenntag GmbH). Six presentations examined current issues in the fields of laundry detergents, cleaning products, cosmetics and perfumery. The focus was primarily on surfactants, biofilms, microplastics, soil-release polymers, NMR analysis and validation of fragrance-containing formulations. A further presentation explored the opportunities and benefits of brain research for marketing campaigns. Tension superficielleIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Detergency is the removal of soil through a complex process involving interactions between the wash liquor, the soil and the substrate. In this paper, we describe the results of our preliminary investigations into polymer-surfactant interactions, focusing on primary detergency in laundry applications. We have studied the interaction between surfactants typically used in laundry formulations and hydrophobically modified polycarboxylate polymers. These polymers are a series of copolymers of acrylic acid and styrene with varying molar amounts of the styrene hydrophobe. The effect of a partial replacement of the surfactant by these polymers was characterized by the static surface tension measurements. These measurements predict that these polymers should aid in primary detergency. Primary detergency tests show that these polymers in combination with the anionic surfactant sodium-dodecylbenzenesulfonate (LAS) improve detergency when the LAS level is below its critical micelle concentration (CMC). Even more remarkable is the oily soil release improvement with the non-ionic alcohol ethoxylate (AE) surfactant, C13-15,7 E0, even above the CMC. This is possibly due to a change in micelle shape, which favours spontaneous emulsification, and subsequent soil release by mechanical action. TransportIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The term "sustainability" already exists for a long time, but only now the consumer’s demand for sustainable concepts and products is strongly rising. Detergents and cleaning agents are one of many involved product groups. However, since other requirements as cleaning performance and price must also be met, a sustainable cleaner is not simply the result of using natural raw materials. The overall package must match.
At our 125th anniversary, we from Zschimmer & Schwarz not only look back on many years of experience, but are also committed to a sustainable future. As a manufacturer of specialties regarding surfactants, complexing agents and polymers, we offer support and ideas to fulfil a wide range of consumer wishes – in other words: a tailor-made approach to grant wishes.Note de contenu : - A long wish list

- Problems can be solved by the optimal combination of raw materials
- Focus : Natural base with additional benefits
- Concentrates must be dosed correctly - otherwise there will be problems
