Polyéthylène glycol d'AllyloxyIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : In this paper, a series of linear-dendritic block copolymers allyloxy poly(ethylene glycol) polyglycerol (APEG-PG-(OH)n) copolymer, was synthesized by anionic polymerization of glycerol using allyloxy poly(ethylene glycol) (APEG). The polymers were characterized by FT-IR and 1H NMR. The polymers were tested as novel environment-friendly inhibitors for industrial cooling water circulation. The performance of AA/APEG-PG-(OH)n on inhibition of calcium phosphate and calcium carbonate precipitation was studied by static scale inhibition tests. It was shown that AA/APEG-PG-(OH)n exhibited excellent ability to control inorganic minerals, with approximately 99% calcium phosphate inhibition and 85% calcium carbonate inhibition at levels of 4 and 10 mg/L AA/APEG-PG-(OH)n, respectively. The effect on formation of calcium phosphate and calcium carbonate was investigated with combination of scanning electronic microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) analysis, respectively. Textiles et tissus -- LavageIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Cleanability of well-characterised textile materials of different types – cotton, polyester and wool – in liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) have been systematically investigated under different process conditions. It was found that the soil removal, which is represented with the soiling additional density (SAD), strongly depends on the kind of investigated textile materials. The use of a commercial detergent significantly improved the cleanability of all textile materials under study and slightly reduced the redeposition of soil in the case of wool fabric. In addition, by using optical roughness analysis, some topographical changes in the fabric structure after cleaning were studied. Textiles et tissus -- LavageIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The objective of this research was to study the effect of the copolymer polyvinylpyrrolidone/vinylimidazole (PVP/VI) for use as a dye transfer inhibitor (DTI) during the washing of dyed polyester fabric, depending on the detergent components. The DTI was used to find its efficiency during repeated washings of polyester fabric dyed with disperse dyes. At the same time, its efficiency was tested for preventing dye migration to other fabrics, such as polyester, cellulose diacetate, acrylic, polyamide, cotton and wool. The influence of anionic (SDBS) and non-ionic (alkyl ethoxylates with 6 EO-groups) surfactants in different proportions and with zeolite as a builder and the aforementioned DTI was tested. Results of CIELAB colour differences were obtained for the dyed and undyed polyester fabrics after five washings. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PART : Materials - Apparatus - Procedures

Surfactants -- BiodégradationIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Industrial waste water, can contain pollutions such as inorganic water-insoluble substances (in particular sewage from electroplating). In nature, the microorganisms play a special role in maintaining life on earth. The decomposition of organic compounds into simple minerals is the main link in the circulation of biogenic elements, especially carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur and other. The aim of the study was to evaluate the biodegradability of a model nonionic surfactant and identification of metabolites generated in the process of biodegradation using microbial consortium originating from electroplating wastewater. Tested model nonionic surfactant C12E10 is a mixture of polydisperse homologues of C12Ex, C14Ex and C16Ex series. Alcohol ethoxylates were isolated by liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) using chloroform. Aliquot of the extract was evaporated and reconstituted in the mobile phase for further LC-MS analysis.

ThermogravimétrieIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Copper(II) soaps derived from Neem (CN) and Pongamia (CP) non-edible oils have been thermally analyzed using TGA technique to determine their energy of activation. IR and NMR spectroscopic studies have been also done earlier. The copper soaps derived from these oils show a single step thermal degradation corresponding to saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acid components of the non-edible oils. Various equations like Coats-Redfern, Horowitz-Metzger, Broido equations were applied to evaluate the energy of activation. The values of activation energy are observed to be in the following order for all these soaps: CN > CP. CP is observed to be more stable than CN due to its higher activation energy. RhéologieIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : The paper deals with the kinetics of liberation of chlorhexidine dihydrochloride (CHH) from chitosan-based hydrogels in the presence of the substance with antiseptic effect, namely benzethonium chloride at the temperature range 25–40 °C. The concentration of the CHH in the system was 0.1% (w/w). The used benzethonium chloride was in concentration range of 0.1–1.0% (w/w). It was found that the release of CHH is influenced by both factors: the concentration of benzethonium chloride and temperature. The release rate constants increase with increasing temperature and decrease with increasing concentration of benzethonium chloride in hydrogels. The activation energy of the release of the substance CHH from hydrogel is higher for hydrogels with higher content of benzethonium chloride. The activation energies of the benzethonium chloride release from the prepared hydrogels were virtually the same. Index. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Fourteen new sulfobetaines with N-alkylmorpholinium moiety have been synthesized using correspording N-alkylmorpholines and propanesultone or butanesultone. Their interfacial activities in aqueous solution were studied by equilibrium and dynamic surface tension measurements. Surface tension measurements provide information about the surface excess concentration, the minimum area per surfactant molecule, the critical micellar concentration (CMC) and the standard Gibbs energy of adsorption. The adsorption properties of these compounds significantly depend on the length of alkyl chain (the number of carbons). The lowest value of critical micellar concentration is obtained for the compound with the longest carbon chain and decrease with increasing of chain length of compounds considered. The same tendency is observed for effectiveness of adsorption. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURES
