Résumé : |
In paint making, pigment dispersion is an important part. Dispersion of pigment can be considered as three main precesses being carried out simultaneously. They are mainly :
- Size Reduction
- Pigment Wetting
- Dispersion Stabilization
Today modern dispersing equipments are very much advanced and efficient to get effective size reduction in the lowest possible time. These newer high-energy mills are now slowly replacing conventional ball mills and, to some extent, conventional and mills. THough these modern dispersing equipments are taking care of the size reduction, the wetting and dispersion stabilization is still being handled in a conventional way. Due to the development of newer resins and paint systems in the field of coating technology, wetting and stabilization is getting more and more challenging |
