Polyméthacrylate de méthyleLe poly(méthacrylate de méthyle) (souvent abrégé en PMMA, de l'anglais Poly(methyl methacrylate)) est un polymère thermoplastique transparent obtenu par polyaddition dont le monomère est le méthacrylate de méthyle (MMA). Ce polymère est plus connu sous son premier nom commercial de Plexiglas (nom déposé), même si le leader global du PMMA est Altuglas International9 du groupe Arkema, sous le nom commercial Altuglas. Il est également vendu sous les noms commerciaux Lucite, Crystalite, Perspex ou Nudec.Tags : PMMA 'Sensibilité vitesse déformation' 'Compression confinée' 'Essais quasi statiques' dynamiques' Modélisation Index. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Dans cette étude, des essais de compression quasi oedométrique quasi statiques et dynamiques ont été conçus et réalisés avec des cellules de confinement épaisses en laiton. La loi constitutive de la cellule en laiton étant connue, des jauges collées sur sa surface latérale permettent la mesure de la pression de contact entre l’échantillon et la cellule de confinement. Ainsi l’état de contrainte (pression hydrostatique et contrainte équivalente selon le critère de Huber-Mises) peut être obtenu. Les essais quasi statiques et dynamiques effectués dans une gamme de vitesses de déformation variant de 1E-3/s à 1E3/s ont été traités avec cette méthode et comparés aux résultats d’essais de compression simple. La résistance du PMMA en compression apparaît faiblement influencée par le niveau de pression et beaucoup plus sensible à la vitesse de déformation. Un comportement élastique fragile est observé à des vitesses de déformation élevées dans des conditions non confinées ou confinées, tandis qu’un comportement de type élastoplastique est constaté sous chargement quasi statique. À la lumière des résultats expérimentaux, un nouveau modèle a été proposé pour décrire la sensibilité du PMMA à la vitesse de déformation et à la pression, ainsi que le comportement adoucissant ou durcissement observé à travers les essais. Stratifiés -- RuptureIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Bien que l’utilisation des matériaux composites ne cesse de croître pour la conception de structures primaires, la prévision de l’endommagement et de la ruine de structures sous sollicitations multiaxiales complexes reste un problème majeur dans le dimensionnement des pièces composites. Une approche hybride multiéchelle de l’endommagement et de la rupture permettant de prévoir finement l’endommagement et la ruine de structures composites sous sollicitations multiaxiales 3D complexes a été proposée. Une des idées majeures de cette approche consiste à introduire à l’échelle mésoscopique les effets des ruptures intervenant à l’échelle micromécanique sur le comportement non-linéaire et la rupture du pli. La modélisation fine de l’évolution de la densité de fissures et de son couplage avec les microdélaminages associés jusqu’à la ruine finale de l’éprouvette constitue également une des améliorations majeures du modèle. Cette approche a été comparée avec succès à différents essais sur stratifiés sous sollicitations planes ou triaxiales complexes issus de la littérature ou réalisés à l’Onera. Après implantation dans un code éléments finis, le modèle proposé a également été appliqué à la prévision de l’endommagement et de la tenue de plaques perforées sous sollicitations de traction ou de compression afin de vérifier sa pertinence sur des cas structuraux. La masse et la hauteur de chute du projectile associées à la distance entre appuis constituent les paramètres variables considérés pour la plaque composite en configuration de flexion 3 points. La différence entre la force d’impact et la force limite acceptable constitue la fonction d’état limite G du problème de fiabilité. Dans le cadre de la méthode approchée FORM employée, l’indice de fiabilité β est recherché, pour différentes valeurs de la force seuil, en mettant en œuvre un algorithme génétique.
