Résumé : |
Combining the automated fibre placement (AFP) process and the forming process creates the possibility to achieve automated high-volume production of optimized continuous-fibre composite parts. Tailored 2D laminates are produced by automated fibre placement and, after being heated, the laminates are stamped into their final 3D shape. Now there is a need to understand the physical behaviour of UD slit tape material during forming and to facilitate the transfer of data between AFP programming and forming process simulation. Coupling the two software solutions will significantly improve design optimization and reduce the time to market. |
