Véhicules électriquesIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : The future of transportation is all set to be green, which means various alternatives need to be investigated to replace traditional gasoline vehicles. Another challenge is to make such alternatives lighter with improved strength for better efficiency, and at the same time, being able to mass produce them to meet the demand. The current industrial trends converge towards the development of electric vehicles, but proper infrastructure to charge the vehicles is just as important. TrioVision Composite Technologies, along with its partner companies Lush Motors and Windstrip, have come forward with an excellent solution using advanced composites to manufacture an electric vehicle and a vertical-axis wind turbine for a charging station. EvaluationIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Energy supply has always been a high cost for tanneries. Thermal energy is usually supplied with fossil fuels. In previous papers, the authors have shown a real possibility in the use of renewable energies such a solar thermal energy in tanneries around the world. However, the amount of electricity needed in the tannery process is much higher and this electricity usually is taken from the grid. Lately, the price of this resource has been increasing rapidly. Up to now renewable energies for electricity production have not been considered and only a few tanneries, mainly in Europe, use cogeneration as electricity supply despite the economic benefits of this technology. In this paper, the authors will present a viability study for the use of renewable energies for electricity supply in tanneries. The renewable energies considered are solar photovoltaic energy and wind energy. Note de contenu : - Energy demand
