Achieving a consistent fragrance performance across different formulations within a product line can be challenging due to matrix effects. In our study, we induced stress and boredom in participants, then had them use three scented formulations: liquid shower, liquid bath, and solid bath. Questionnaire data show that the scents were consistently perceived as intense, pleasant, and familiar, successfully stimulating the olfactory system to achieve an invigorating as well as a relaxing effect. The emotional effects were consistent across formulation types, with the tested scent not only significantly reducing boredom but also significantly relieving stress. Overall, our study demonstrates the positive psychological impact of scented formulations on different aspects of mood and well-being, across different formulation types. The methods employed represent a valuable procedure to test and substantiate cosmetic product efficacy and claims. Note de contenu : - Motivation

Textiles et tissusIndex. décimale : 668.1 Agents tensioactifs : savons, détergents Résumé : Used as efficient active agents in many household care products, silicones are effective in even small quantities, and their effects can be controlled through the type and quantity selected. As examples from household and fabric care demonstrate, their application is compatible with the overall concept of sustainability. Silicones make everyday products last longer, for instance. Because they allow manufacturers to reduce consumption of material resources, their use can save energy and water. In impregnating agents, silicones represent an alternative to fluorine-based active agents. Note de contenu : - Silicones

Tension superficielleIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Aroma molecules (fragrances) are indispensable components of many cosmetic and wellness products. This work demonstrates the possibility of quantitative determination of aroma molecules in carrier salts (flavored salts for bath-wellness and as components of detergent compositions) based on the surface activity of aroma molecules. The aqueous solutions of three differently coloured carrier salts with different loaded fragrance composition have been studied using dynamic tensiometry (maximum bubble pressure). The fraction of the carrier (coarse/fine) and the amount of the dissolved flavoured salts have been varied. Also, the effect of the artificial aging on the amount of the loaded aroma molecules has been revealed. The demonstrated approach can be used for the optimizations of compositions and of the manufacturing
processes of fragrances-containing products, as well as for the assessment of the release/evaporation of fragrances from
the products.
Further development of the proposed approach will make it possible to evaluate the molecular interactions of aroma substances with other components of detergents and of cosmetic formulations, such as surfactants, polymers, salts and pigments.Note de contenu : - Table 1 : Physicochemical properties of studied aroma molecules En ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Q9GTXkZ0ijV_zu5Zw6SoDgFbcEMb--bZ/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=34226
