However, it is difficult to really enjoy a regularly undisturbed sleep of 7-9 hours per night.
A survey conducted among adults in 13 countries revealed that on average, people sleep 6.8 hours per weeknight and 7.5 hours per weekend night. Hence, the amount of sleep lost during the working week is not compensated over the weekend. Moreover, only 49% of adults are satisfied with their sleep.
The recent COVID-19 pandemic has only worsened our sleep quality. Another recent survey among US adults displayed that 98% have developed new sleep problems, and 68% feel it is harder to sleep even after measures were lifted. An additional survey showed that 60% of adults are interested in strategies to sleep better, what is known as biohacking sleep.Note de contenu : - A new tool to 'biohack' sleep

The plant-based ingredient Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Callus Lysate is a 100% natural multi-active from Turmeric stem cells that fights the damage of skin derived from suffering stress, improving stress wrinkles, working as an emotional wellbeing manager, enhancing skin hydration and acting as a modulator of the brain-skin connection. Various in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo tests were carried out to demonstrate the efficacy of the plant stem cell active ingredient.

Peau -- Soins et hygièneIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Among all the dermatoses, Acne vulgaris is the most common multifactorial disease in patients between 11 and 30 years old, as it affects up to 80% of people belonging to this age segment. Moreover, due to its high diffusion in the population and to its significant morbidity, it causes both physically and psychologically side-effects on patients, in terms of scarring, depression, anxiety and low self-esteem. Acne vulgaris is an inflammatory disorder in which many agents can act as triggers : androgens, drugs, genetic factors, regulating neuropeptides and environmental factors, such as pollution and UV radiation. Regardless of the causes, however, in all the patients affected by Acne vulgaris the following symptoms have been observed: an excessive sebum production, an excessive keratosis of excretory ducts - and the consequent transition from microcomedones to comedones- , the development of bacterial flora (especially Propionibacterium acnes) and the release of inflammatory mediators in the skin. Given these manifestations, Star Anise Extract is the new active ingredient able to provide an effective and complete activity on all the symptoms associated to an acne-prone skin. With 100% naturel origin, it is characterised by a high value of shikimic acid (⩾ 15% w/w). Note de contenu : - More than food

- les cannabinoïdes végétaux (phytocannabinoïdes), présents dans les Cannabis sp. ou produits de la dégradation du tétrahydrocannabinol ;
- les cannabinoïdes endogènes (endocannabinoïdes) sécrétés par certains organismes animaux ;
(Wikipedia)

Vieillissement cutané -- PréventionIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : Cellular Goods explains how cannabinoids such as CBG and CBD have potent anti- inflammatory and antioxidant properties that are capable of preventing skin inflammation
The anti-ageing products market is projected to reach $47.8 billion by 2027. Until now, this burgeoning segment has been dominated by active ingredients like ascorbic acid (vitamin C), retinoids, and α- and β-hydroxy acids.
Yet despite their proven efficacy for addressing signs of ageing skin, these ingredients are notorious for causing irritation and photosensitivity, particularly in the case of retinoids and exfoliating acids. For the 50-60% of men and 60-70% of women who report some degree of sensitive skin, these side-effects can hinder long-term use of these ingredients and, in the short-term, lead to a frustrating trialand-error experiment.
Herein lies the exciting promise of cannabinoids as active skincare ingredients. Generally speaking, the vast majority of research conducted to date has focused on cannabidiol (CBD) and δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), as these are the most abundant and readily available cannabinoids produced by the plant species Cannabis Sativa L.
However, the recent adoption of wellestablished manufacturing methods, namely biosynthesis and chemical synthesis, have facilitated the commercial availability of other cannabinoids, ushering in a new era of cannabinoid R&D while creating a reliable supply chain defined by high-purity, consistent, sustainable and compliant ingredients.
Cannabigerol (CBG) and cannabidiol (CBD) in particular have been shown to counteract the inflammatory effects of exposure to UVA and UVB light, bacterial pathogens and chemical irritants. They also possess superior antioxidant capacity to vitamin C and the ability to inhibit lipid peroxidation caused by UVB exposure.
These combined properties open the door to an entirely new range of active skincare treatments that do not pose risks of irritation and photosensitivity. Cellular Goods has carried out extensive research on them.Note de contenu : - UVB-induced lipid peroxidation
