The theory was also used to calculate the composition ratio, interfacial tension (gamma) and bending moment (c) of spherical interfaces between oil and water. Presented results show that LFSCF approach can be used to predict microemulsion properties.
Note de contenu : - Opalescent, translucide, transparent ?
- Au-dela des apparences, pourquoi micro-émulsionner ?

In this study, EC50/LC50/LC50 for several cationic softeners, in both emulsions and microemulsions, were estimated through bioassays (Photobacterium phosphoreum) and aquatic biota (Chlorella vulgaris, Scenedesmus subspicatus, Selenastrum capricornutum, Daphnia magna and Oncorhynchus mykiss). The results obtained from the different bioassays were compared and their implications for toxicity monitoring were assessed. Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=32353

ViscositéRésumé : Present work includes experimental studies related to the viscosimetric behaviour of microemulsions that consist of three compounds: isooctane (organic phase), water (aqueous phase) and Aerosol OT (surfactant). The effect of the microemulsion composition, based on the ω parameter value, and the effect caused by the temperature have been analysed in this work. In relation to the influence of temperature and the use of microemulsions in different processes, one important characteristic of this kind of systems (the percolation phenomenon) must be taken into account in the discussion of the experimental results.
