The special effects are visible from every angle and the the settings of the application system have a minimal impact on the coating. Note de contenu : - Increasing the brilliance of powder coated surfaces
- 3D metallic appearance from all angles
- Effective protection from weathering
- Figures : 1. Facade coatings protect buildings, from the effects of the weather and from corrosion. They also lend a unique, high-quality appearance to the facade - 2. The effect pigments are processed very gently, which brings improvements in several of the properties of the special effect coating. There is no blooming or streaking and the brilliance of the finish and the metallic effect are clearly visible from every anglePermalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=31596

VernisIndex. décimale : 667.7 Cires, laques, vernis Résumé : This study aimed to determine the effect of accelerated weathering on gloss, surface hardness and colour changes of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.). Test samples were impregnated with Adolit KD-5, Wolmanit CX-8 and Celcure AC-500 covered with cellulosic and polyurethane varnishes. The results showed that the values of surface hardness and gloss increased after accelerated weathering. While the surface hardness of Scots pine was increased for impregnated and polyurethane-coated varnish, it decreased for impregnated and cellulosic varnish-coated Scots pine after 1000 hours of accelerated weathering exposure. Copper-based chemical impregnation and varnish coating developed the gloss of Scots pine specimens relative to the surface characteristics observed in single-coated Scots pine specimens. While the most appropriate chemical was Celcure AC-500 for surface hardness, it was Adolit KD-5 for the gloss of Scots pine after 1000 hours of accelerated weathering exposure. Wood specimens impregnated prior to the application of varnish were more effective in stabilising the colour of Scots pine than Scots pine only coated with varnish. Polyurethane varnish-treated Scots pine showed better colour stability for each partial and total accelerated weathering exposure period. The total colour changes were lowest for polyurethane varnish-coated Scots pine impregnated with Celcure AC-500 after 1000 hours of accelerated weathering exposure. SurfactantsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The rheological properties, gloss, hiding power, and water absorption of some model latex paints were analyzed in terms of the adsorption of surfactants, dispersing agent, and thickener onto the latex and pigment particles. Special attention was paid to the order of addition of poly(acrylic acid) and ethyl(hydroxyethyl) cellulose, because this has an effect on the adsorption of the polymers onto the TiO2 pigment. The order of addition also affects the rheological properties of the mill base dispersion and the gloss of the paint. The gloss was also affected by the surfactant used to stabilize the latex. Higher gloss was obtained using a nonionic surfactant than with an anionic surfactant Note de contenu : - PAINT INGREDIENTS-ADSORBENTS AND ADSORBATES

Revêtements -- Additifs:Peinture -- AdditifsIndex. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : Polymeric antioxidants based on p-cumyl phenol formaldehyde resin (PCPF), p-nonyl phenol formaldehyde (PNPF) and p-octyl phenol formaldehyde (POPF) were prepared by condensation reaction of respective phenols with formaldehyde in presence of an acid catalyst. The reactions were monitored by TLC and the melting point of the products was determined by open capillary method. Stabilising the action of PCPF, PNPF for protecting paint against thermal oxidation was tested using a QUV weatherometer. The effect of exposure on the properties of paints such as gloss, whiteness and yellowness were evaluated. Results show that paints containing these new polymeric antioxidants possess better stabilising effects against photo-oxidation than those employed in standard paints available in the market.
