Note de contenu : - MATERIALS AND METHODS : Reagents and plant extracts - Materials - Methods - Molecularly imprinted polymer synthesis - Extraction on molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE)

Then, the ET was applied to the tanning process and the ET tanning approach optimized and evaluated. The result indicated that after tanning with 8% ET at pH 6 for 6 h, the shrinkage temperature of leather was 83.9°C and the thickness change rate was 97.5%. The XRD, DSC, TG, SEM and Zeta potential analyses demonstrated that ET could couple with the amino groups of the collagen side chains and breaking partial hydrogen bonds between fibers, brought significant improvement to the softness of leather without obvious damage to the high-level structure of collagen. Residual Cl- concentration in the wastewater
decreased 42.1% in the tanning process compared to the conventional chrome tanning method. The emissions of COD and TDS in the tanning process reduced by 40.5% and 27.2%, respectively. It is conceivable that the ET tanning approach provides an improved approach to promote leather industry to develop sustainably.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL : Materials and equipment - Preparation of polyether amine triazine derivatives (ET) - Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) - Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR) - Leather tanning processing - Determination of the shrinkage temperature - Determination of the exhaustion rate of tanning agent - Determination of the percent thickness increase - Thermal analysis - Zeta potential analyses - Morphological analyses - Whiteness analysis - X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement - Determination of physical and mechanical properties - Environmental impact assessment

Then, waterborne hyperbranched polyester acrylate (WHPC) was synthesized by partially modifying the carboxylic groups of HPC with glycidyl methacrylate. In order to explore the influence of molecular weight, acrylate groups content, and ion groups content on performances, a series of WHPC films with different molecular weight, acrylate groups content, and ion groups content were prepared. The dynamic light scattering spectrometer analysis shows that the higher ionic groups content and the lower molecular weight cause the smaller particle size. The ionic group content has a positive effect on the solubility. The smaller molecular weight and particle size cause the lower viscosity. The Fourier-transform IR spectrophotometer reveals that the double bond final conversion increased with increasing acrylate groups content. The final conversion is between 69 and 86%. The curing speed is fast, and the curing time is about 70 s due to the numerous end groups owned by the hyperbranched structure. The dynamic mechanical thermal analysis coupled with end-use mechanical property tests illustrates that the crosslink density has a positive effect on the storage modulus and a negative effect on the flexibility. It is also found that glass transition temperature and pencil hardness are determined by the balance between crosslink segment and hyperbranched polyester segment. The thermogravimetric analysis proves that increased crosslink density and molecular weight promote the heat resistance of films. This work utilizes a novel hyperbranched structure that excels in viscosity, flexibility, and water solubility. Furthermore, the preparation process is convenient. Solutions de polymèreIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : In the present investigation, a novel ladder polymer, poly(azomethine ester), was prepared via solution polycondensation polymerization between terephthalic acid and the novel monomer. Terephthalic acid was regenerated from PET waste bottles by saponification process, whereas p-phenylenediamine was obtained via Hoffmann rearrangement method. A novel monomer, namely N,N′-bis(2,5-dihydroxy benzylidene)-1,4-diaminobenzene was prepared from the reaction of 2,5-di-hydroxybenzadehyde with p-phenylenediamine in the ratio of 2:1, respectively. For the first time a solution polycondensation method has been employed for the synthesis of a ladder polymer which is otherwise prepared commonly via Diels-Alder cycloaddition reaction. The synthesized ladder polymer was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR), carbon nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (13C NMR), elemental analysis (CHN), X-ray diffraction (XRD), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). The results revealed that the ladder polymer possess highly regular ladder like framework, and that most of the ester groups have taken part in the side-by-side polymerization reaction. RhéologieIndex. décimale : 675.2 Préparation du cuir naturel. Tannage Résumé : Amino resins have found important uses in leather manufacturing due to their selective filling properties. Conventional amino resins are produced from formaldehyde and result in an increase of formaldehyde content in finished leather greater than the permitted limits. Due to strict legislations and restrictions regarding formaldehyde contents in leather goods there is a growing demand to produce formaldehyde-free leather. In this study formaldehyde-free resins with improved thermal stabilities were prepared using glyoxal as condensing agent and orthanilic acid (o-amino-benzene sulphonic acid) as a sulfonating agent.
The glyoxal to melamine ratio (G/M) was varied from 2-6 and orthanilic acid to melamine ratio (ONA/M) was varied from 0.5-3 to produce aqueous solutions of the melamine resins. The viscosity trend in the series of resins was observed by varying the degree of sulfonation and varying the glyoxal/melamine ratio. Progress of reaction was monitored by FTIR spectrum through functional group region.
Newly synthesised melamine resins (MGONA) were comparatively applied on leather as a retanning agent against a conventional melamine-formaldehyde resin and further evaluated for tear strength, tensile strength and elongation at break. The leather retanned with the optimal resin was further assessed for organoleptic properties and SEM analysis. The thermal stability of the optimised resin was also evaluated comparatively against a conventional resin. The optimised polymeric resin was free from formaldehyde plus having better retanning properties and improved thermal stability.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE : Chemicals and apparatus - Synthesis of glyoxylated melamine resins using orthanilc acid as sulfonating agent
