Micro-ondes
Tannage Résumé : An anodic stripping voltammetric method has been developed for determination of Cr(VI) content in leather treated with nitric acid-hydrogen peroxide microwave digestion. Microwave digestion was used in sample preparation for its fast digestion, lower reagent consumption and safe operation. The sample solution was mixed with DTPA (diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid)-sodium acetate-sodium nitrate buffer solution, and then it was purged with oxigen free nitrogen for 300 seconds before deposition of the metals was carried out by applying a constant potential versus Ag/AgCl to the hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) for 60 seconds. A standard addition procedure was used for quantification. The repeatability and recovery percentage were tested to evaluate the determination methods. The results showed that Cr(VI) content in leather sample determined was 0.68mG/kG. Relative standard deviations for 8 replicate determinations of µg/L Cr(VI) standard solution and leather samples were carried out and the precision test results were 1.338 and 7.47 % respectively. recovery percentage was in the range from 97.22 % to 106.58 %. The proposed method is simple, convenient, sensitive and reliable. Membrane liquide en émulsion
Séparation (technologie)Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : This article adopted the optimum liquid membrane scheme to carry out an emulsion liquid membrane separation and to determine the amount of Cr(VI) in the finished leather. The experimental results reveal that the emulsion liquid membrane method can effectively separate Cr(VI) from the leather extract to remove the colour of the extract and also avoid the effects of Cr(III) being transformed into Cr(VI). It can determine the amounts of Cr in the pre-separating and post-separating solution, that is to calculate the amount of Cr(VI) in the leather sample. This method is accurate and easy to use. Its indexed recovery rate is 95.6% - 106%. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE : Experimental reagents, apparatus and equipment - Experiment

Extraction par solvant
Fumarate de diméthyleIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Purge-assisted headspace solid-phase micro-extraction (PA/HS-SPME) was proposed for the determination of dimethyl fumarate (DMF) extracted from finished leather. Samples were extracted from solvent by Accelerated Solvent Extractor (ASE), concentrated and purified with PA/HS-SPME, analyzed by gas chromatography-mass-spectrometry (GC-MS), and quantified against external standards. The parameters of PA/HS-SPME, such as temperature and time, were studied. Under the optimal conditions, the linearity for DMF was over the concentration range of 5-1000ng/ml ; the detection limit was 1ng/ml ; the relative standard deviation (n=6) was 9.94 % at 100ng/ml. The recoveries were in the range of 66.8-91.5 %. This eco-friendly method was applied to the determination of DMF in leather samples satisfactorily. The proposed PA/HS-SPME method opens new avenues for the determination of DMF in leather samples. Spectrométrie de masseIndex. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : The composition of fatty spew on leather was determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Meanwhile, the volatile substances in the fogging test of leather were identified by GC-MS. With the combination of all the data obtained, it was found that the predominant components of fatty spew were palmitic acid methyl ester, oleic acid methyl ester and stearic acid methyl ester, and their relative content ratio is approximately 8 : 1 : 1. An interesting phenomenon was that no fatty acids are detected in fatty spew although they are commonly regarded as the origin of this defect. These facts strongly suggest that the fatty acid methyl esters existing in fatliquors are the main origin of fatty spew defect in leather, and also one of the probable contributions to fogging. Extraction (chimie)Index. décimale : 675 Technologie du cuir et de la fourrure Résumé : Given the carcinogenic character of formaldehyde, it should be reliably determined in any substrate. The EN ISO 17226 Standard is the Official Method to quantify formaldehyde in leather. However, some misunderstandings may arise from the practical conditions given by the Standard for the extraction of formaldehyde. Two agitation methods (magnetic agitation and reciprocal linear agitation), which fulfill the conditions of the Standard, have been used for the extraction of formaldehyde in twenty two samples of wet-blue split leather treated with resins synthesized with formaldehyde and with/without the addition of vegetable compounds. The agitation method influences the formaldehyde content and differences between the agitation methods depend on the formaldehyde resins and vegetable compounds applied. Magnetic agitation leads to formaldehyde contents that are 26% greater than those obtained when the reciprocal linear agitation method is used. Major brands specify allowable limits for formaldehyde content, which depend on the user (adult or babies) and whether the article is in direct contact with the skin. A high percentage of disagreement (33.3%) has been observed between the agitation methods in fulfilling the allowable limits. One-third of the formaldehyde content results that fulfilled the allowable limits with the reciprocal linear agitation method failed when the magnetic method was applied. The situation urges the clarification of the shaking method in the EN ISO 17226 Standard to avoid the high level of contradictory results between methods that meet the agitation conditions of the Standard.
