Tannage Résumé : A fluorinated acrylate copolymer of dodecafluoroheptyl methacrylate (FA) and methacrylic acid (MAA) has been synthesized by free radical copolymerization using azobisisobutyronitrile as the catalyst at 75°C for 6hrs in dioxane. The structure of this copolymer was characterized by Fourier transformation infrared spectrum (FTIR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), elemental analysis, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and gel permeation chromatography (GPC).
The characteristics and effects of the copolymer as a retanning material have been investigated by measuring such physical/mechanical indexes as the tensile strength, thickness increment ratio, elongation at break, static water resistance and air permeability Instrumental analysis such as scanning electron microscopy and X-ray energy spectrum (SEM-EDAX) was also employed. The results indicate that this fluorinated acrylate copolymer tanning agent has good filling cum retanning ability and can improve the treated leather’s physical/mechanical properties and water repellency.Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENTAL PROCEDURE : Materials - Preparation of the copolymer - Characterization of the copolymer

Tannage Résumé : The graft copolymer retanning material of degraded starch and vinyl monomers was synthesized by graft copolymerization of acrylic acid (AA), acrylonitrile (AN) and acrylamide (AM) on starch with ammonium persulfate ((NH4)2S2O8) as initiator. The effect of the mass concentration of starch, vinyl monomers and initiator on the graft yield, the graft efficiency, the monomer conversion and tannage properties were investigated. The structure of the graft copolymer was characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). The application test was carried out on goat leather. Note de contenu : - Materials

Le second groupe en importance de matériaux en silicone est celui des résines de silicone, formées par des oligosiloxanes ramifiés ou en forme de cage (wiki).Index. décimale : 667.9 Revêtements et enduits Résumé : The fluorine-silicone modified acrylate-dibutyl fumarate emulsions were successfully prepared via semi-continuous seed emulsion polymerisation technology when MMA, DBF, VTES and HFMA were used to be the co-polymerised monomers and the mixture of SDBS and APG and KPS were used as the emulsifier and the initiator, respectively. The optimum recipe of preparing the emulsion is as follows : the amount of emulsifiers is 5% and the mass ratio of SDBS and APG is 1:4 ; the amount of initiator is 0.6% and the content of the fluorine monomer and silicon monomer is 6% and 8%, respectively. In comparison with the acrylate-dibutyl fumarate emulsion without fluorine monomer and silicon monomer, the thermal stability and the water resistance of the modified emulsion film are clearly improved. The mixed monomers of MMA, BA and vinyl triethoxysilane (VETS) were initiated with potassium persulphate (KPS). The structure and properties of the resultant latex were characterised by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and contact angle (CA). The conditions for preparing the latex were instigated in detail. Results indicate that the optimal conditions of preparing the latex are as follows: the amount of mixed emulsifiers is 6.0% ; the optimum mass ratio of AE-100 to ES-4305 is 1:1.5 ; the amount of initiator is 0.7% ; the mass rate of main monomers of MMA: BA =1:1 and amount of VIES is 6.0%. In addition, the resultant latex shows good thermal stability and hydrophobicity. Note de contenu : - EXPERIMENT : Materials - Preparation of modified latex - Characterisation
