PeptidesIndex. décimale : 668.5 Parfums et cosmétiques Résumé : The cosmetics industry and consumers have been paying increasing attention to the concept of neurocosmetics in recent years. Scientific evidence about the benefits of natural and biomimetic cosmetics substances involved in the modulation of human physiology, mood and state of mind through interaction with the skin nervous system has impacted the industry at unprecedented levels.
This scenario led to a new trend for the use of active ingredients targetting specific nervous system pathways in the skin, such as endocannabinoid and opioid systems. Consumer demand is becoming more challenging, to the point where the actual composition and functional characteristics of the cosmetics products used throughout the daily routine have to be compilant to a specific 'lifestyle' model.Note de contenu : - Endorphines

Titre : Enhancing antibacterial and anticorrosion properties of 304 stainless steel surfaces: a multi-modification approach based on DA/PEI/SiO2/AMPs Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : De Liu, Auteur ; Huming Wang, Auteur ; Xuxu Dong, Auteur ; Xiaodan Liu, Auteur ; Sergi Dosta, Auteur ; Chao Zhang, Auteur ; Pan Cao, Auteur Année de publication : 2023 Article en page(s) : p. 979-994 Note générale : Bibliogr.

Herein, a novel DA/PEI/SiO2/antibacterial peptide antifouling coating was prepared by a multi-modification approach. Initially, the nanocoatings were prepared by depositing DA, PEI, and SiO2 on the dopamine (DA)-modified 304 stainless steel (SS) surface, and finally, the DA/PEI/SiO2/AMPs composite coatings were prepared by grafting antimicrobial peptides (AMPs). The surfaces of SS before and after modification were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometer (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS), field emission scanning electron microscopy (SEM), contact angle measurement, and 3D optical profilometer. SSN-1 cells were used to evaluate the cytocompatibility of the modified surface. The results revealed that the cells cultured on the modified surface still maintained a good adhesion morphology, demonstrating the superior cytocompatibility of the composite coating. The anti-biofilm and antimicrobial properties of the modified samples were evaluated using Vibrio natriegens. The antibacterial efficiency of SS-DA/PEI/SiO2 surfaces before and after AMPs modification reached 78.39 and 95.90%, and anti-biofilm efficiency of AMPs modified surface achieved 72.87% corresponding to 44.19% of SS-DA/PEI/SiO2. The successful grafting of AMPs improved the antibacterial and anti-biofilm properties of the modified sample surfaces. Electrochemical and stability tests indicated that the modified sample surfaces exhibited excellent corrosion resistance and antifouling stability properties. This research could provide a novel green anti-fouling and anti-corrosion strategy for the marine industry and other related fields. [article]
Titre : Extraction, identification and free radical scavenging activities of collagen-derived peptides from yak hide Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Guo Song, Auteur ; Xiaoyan Pang, Auteur ; Qiaoe Wang, Auteur ; Wei Ding, Auteur ; Zhiwen Ding, Auteur Année de publication : 2022 Article en page(s) : p. 73-82 Note générale : Bibliogr.
(Wikipedia)

The enzymolysis conditions were optimised via a single-factor experiment and response surface methodology (RSM) using the FRSA as the optimisation index. The optimal enzymolysis conditions were as follows: the optimal enzyme was alkaline protease, the enzymolysis pH was 8.7, the dosage of alkaline protease was 8000U/g, the temperature was 50°C, the time was 5 hours, the concentration of substrate was 5%. The FRSAs of hydroxyl, DPPH and superoxide anion radicals of the optimally prepared YCDP could be up to 39.63%, 71.08% and 69.93%, respectively, which were higher than those of CDP prepared from cattle hide under the same conditions. Further identification analyses showed that the components of YCDP with lower molecular weight contributed more to the FRSA of YCDP.
