Titre : Minimizing residence time : Screw-piston plastication units are the preferred choice for small shot weights Type de document : texte imprimé Auteurs : Michael Kleinebrahm, Auteur Année de publication : 2017 Article en page(s) : p. 42-43 Langues : Anglais (eng) Catégories : Matières plastiques -- Moulage par injection -- Appareils et matériel
Plastification
Vis pistonIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : In the manufacture of small and microparts, the injected volume is usually very small – presupposing suitable mold design without overdimensioned sprue geometry – and cycle times are short because the wall thicknesses are generally low. The plastication units required should therefore be capable of supplying a small, precisely metered volume of optimally processed melt at short time intervals. A new screw-piston plastication system with 8 mm screw diameter is setting records here. Note de contenu : - Overcoming obstructions to heat transfert
- The right screw geometry assists the process
- Permanent material throughput for better parts
- Smaller screw means short residence times
- FIGURES : Geometry of a 12-mm screw - optimized for miniature injection molding - In the screw-piston plastification unit, the pellet stock is uniformly and rapidly melted by the shearing movement during rotation and continuous material exchange at the hot cylinder wall - 2. For screw plastification (8mm diameter in this case), the material is always plasticated under the same conditions and wth the same residence time. The Fifo principle (first-in, first-out) is thus met - 3. The plastification unit, with 8-mm screw, is also available as a series feature in the machine models boy XXS and XS (63 and 100 KN clamping force) for silicone processingEn ligne : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1u4UVvznygVSi3GezRfTo1hAU55aFHWZe/view?usp=drive [...] Format de la ressource électronique : Permalink : https://e-campus.itech.fr/pmb/opac_css/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=29003

Polyéthylène haute densité
Polyéthylène téréphtalateIndex. décimale : 668.4 Plastiques, vinyles Résumé : Lightweight beverage packaging, manufactured with energy-efficient systems and equipped with reliable protection for the packaging contents – the trend at the Drinktec fair pointed clearly in the direction of more sustainability. It is fascinating how much performance can be coaxed from bottles, caps and the like. A subjective review. Note de contenu : - The only all-electric cap production
- Top speed machine
- Closed loop: control loop between the injection molding machine and test system
- An insurmountable barrier
- Two or three layers ?
- Five grams per bottle
- TABLE : The key data of the four systsms that manufactured bottle caps at Drinktec 2017 (all of HDPE). The series comprises an all-electric machine and three hybrid machines with hydraulic injection
- FIGURES : Progrip, an extremely light-weight one-part cap for still water and the Wattwiller Flower Cap, a bottle cap with patented flower shape for older users - 2. "The only all-electric machine in this performance range. "The high precision of the e-cap injection molding machines is determined partly by th epowerful servo direct drives - 3. Two system partners showed the first ever linking of control loops between the injection molding machine and an optical testing system at Drinktec. The case in point was the 38-mm cap for a milk bottle - 4. Barrier layers can perform various functions, from product protection to design elements - 5. The layer-watcher test system makes the position and thickness of the barrier between the outer and inner layer of the preform visible - 6. One goal, two alternatives : the light protection factor for milk as a three-layer barrier preform (cross section left bottom in the picture) and as an already inflated, two-layer bottle - 7.
